It would be a great way for DLH to go out of boxing but I think he gets hit to much these days and will get stopped in the last few rounds.
It a credit to De La Hoya that even in his last fight he only wants to fight the best.

Balls
Cotto.
I think De La Hoya looks good for the first few rounds but gets outworked down the stretch. I wouldnt be surprised to see both guys down in this fight. However, I could see a few other things happening.
I could see Cotto winning by late TKO via body shot or barrge of punches against a tiring Oscar.
I could see Oscar winning by close decision if he uses his size and stays on his toes like the old Oscar and puts his punches toghether.
Whats amazing is that almost 15 years after Oscar won his firt title he is still competing against the best in the world.
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
Cotto for the reasons explained above
I voted 4 Cotto,I think Oscars on the slide big time, the Oscar that fought Floyd I think would beat Cotto,Cotto catches Oscar just at the right time and grinds out a UD.
ODLH, Because of his speed, guile, jab, and because I feel he takes a shot better than Cotto does..

Cotto. Wrong fighter for a guy getting up there who always had some stamina issues.
Nothing like assumptions of victory for Superman Cotto on July 26th.....come on??
Forbes a featherfisted fighter was able to mark up Oscar, I'm pretty sure Cotto's going to be a handful. Prime for Prime Oscar would win for the fact that he is a naturally bigger guy but right at this very moment I think it would be a toss up.

The only time I remember ODLH getting a good clean shot was on that round (was it 8th or 9th?) when the round finished and when he let his guard down got a straight right from Mayweather. But it was not like "Oh my gaaawd, OHLD won't be able to recover! Look at him, he is totally in trouble!" Nope, faaaar from that, same thing for Mayweather. Can't really say that both ODLD and Mayweather were in trouble in there. Both fought cautiously.
But if we are going to go that way then imagine if Cotto got almots TKO'd by someone like Torres (where is he now?), cuts in almost all his fights, rocked in almost all his fights, exposed, etc. Imagine against ODLH.
I'll say it can go either way.
If almost eveybody in here hates ODLH and are certain that Cotto can give him a great easy beating then why do some of you complain for this fight? Shouldn't everybody look forward to seeing ODLH loose?
Actually I gotta say this turned out to be a really good thread with some good points from both sides. I like it.
