If you're a boxer, the bag should be included daily
(although Scrap will surely prove me wrong)

But seriously, if you're a boxer you punch everyday.

As for the abs. 3 times a week.

Yea I agree with the punching every day. Often if I don't feel like skipping before say a run, I will do pad work as a warm up and down. Or say if I am working on a new combo, introduction something new...I will use the pads a lot for a bit until I feel comfortable using it in sparring.

    Agreed.
I like to change my routine a lot and avail of all avenues.
But the bag is essential, if you're a boxer.

Pads are brilliant. Scrap doesn't rate them , but I thoink when used properly they're brilliant.

That's interesting, Scrap not thinking the pads are as good as a bag. I wonder why? I mean, for eg. right now I am working really hard on my uppercuts, and the heavy bag just doesn't seem to cut it for that.

Scraps rasoning is that if a combonation is thrown incorrectly and the sequence broke, the workout is wasted.

trey two or three days hard training, then a day off. you make your gains while you recover not while you break down muscle fibers.as for gettin into the workout, that is all mental. work on that or consider just doing it for fun or to stay in shape. i only have trouble getting into a workout when i know i am just sharpeninmg the blade for no reason. i actually like the boredom of training...love long hour long stints on an eliptical or 3 hours in the gym working till i am ready to fall down, but i need time to recover and that is when you gain. maybe just go hrd for a 8 week stint then take 1 week off
