Marriage in my opinion doesn't mean that you have to have kids.
I'd chill with that for a while, enjoy each other and adjust to living situations/financial arrangements/work or extra curricular schedules etc.


Keep a clear mind. Don't let stress build ups as undoubtedly, you'll end up taking it out on the person closest to you (and vice versa.)

But really, all I can offer is my best wishes. I'm sure you know exactly what you want since you married the lady in the first place.

Im a bit surprised people have offered their own kids as a gift.

If you think you want kids, wait a REALLY long time first. Make sure you get everything out of your system you need to get out. My wife and I were married for 10 years before we had our daughter. For the longest time I wasn't interested in having kids- I wanted to go when I wanted to go and do what I wanted to do and a kid sidelines all that. Just think about the mundane things that would totally change. Can't go to the movies- you got the baby. Can't just drop everything and do anything spur of the moment, IF the baby can come, you have to pack a bag and make sure the baby has proper clothes to wear. It's perfectly normal for you to want to be 'selfish' right now. Make sure you enjoy that before you decide to have a kid.
