Well I think if Mayweather had tried to fight Cotto this year, that Cotto would've ended up fighting De La Hoya. Who would Arum rather have Cotto fight? De La Hoya is a bigger payday, bigger event, more exposure, probably a more winnable fight, and Arum is on better terms with Golden Snaggle Tooth Promotions than he is with Mayweather.

I just don't understand why people always talk all the time about "calling out" fighters, as if it is really important.

The negotiations is what matters, not what you say in an interview.
Then why did you even create this thread? You are the one who said: "Hey Look! Floyd called such and such out in his defense and then you end up saying that it don't matter. LMAO!

ODLH has said it once and he just said it again, his wife Millie VaNilli said he can not fight any more Puerto Ricans. He said this again in an interview the other day and he said he was going to stick to his word and keep his promise to his wife.

I didn't create this thread. I never said that.

Take a look at whom you're quoting and who started the thread.

With all due respect...calling out fighters after a fight doesn't mean he ACTIVELY sought them out. I for one have no idea what goes on behind the scene in the boxing world. But judging from Floyd's personality (wanting attention and $$$) and his track record for mostly picking less than stellar opponents for a good part of his career....this video doesn't mean jack to me. Floyd can SAY a lot of things...but WHY EXACTLY these fights didn't transpire is up for debate.

The Moseley fight didn't happen because Moseley Told him to fight Margarito instead! And the video of that can be found on Youtube. The Oscar fight did happen; and the Tzyu fight never happened because Tzyu got beat! But Mayweather did beat up the guy who beat Tzyu.
