Myspace is crawling with pedophiles and or FBI and kids and people acting like kids and is too much flash for the predominantly 'add this function' user. It's one giant exploit.

Facebook is set up better to have it be uniquely for friends and people you know. Less flash, more practical. Facebook for the win!

Hmmm I've just left high school/started university so it is a good way of keeping relationships going or getting them started. Don't really have a preference, they both do what they are supposed to, although I hate some of the apps on facebook they just annoy me when people have hundreds of the bastards.

One thing I have noticed is the way americans seem to talk on myspace, This sheila added me from georgia so I accepted. Anyways I look at her page and she even types like shes fucking epileptic, for example "gurls" instead of girls and then further goes on to say "What I want to do with my life, at the moment is become a modle. Not a runway modle". Are people that illeducated over there? Final one is people typing like tHiS ThiNKinG iT iS thE bEsT tHiNG evEr iNveNtEd tO TyPE likE a WANKER. Does it impress me that the sentence you just typed took 3 times the normal time as you had to keep pressing down shift? No, it's the universal sign of being a dickhead. Other than that myspace and facebook are great

lol c'mon guys...facebook is good. I'm thinking you guys either have never tried it, or just don't have any friends to add.

Someone mentioned starting a facebook group for this site, I think it was clubber, and I wouldn't mind that but I'd prob. make a diff. account for it. I got like 250 people on my current facebook and are all my local classmates and people I've met in real life, or other boxers i've met. Most of the girls are highschool 15-18 and got pics of themselves in short shorts and lil tank tops and vids of them swinging their booties and singing and giggling.

Just too much of a buffet to put it out there to you old group of perverts...

i hated facebook more than myspace.. i haven't had either for years now, but with facebook, everyone from my high school ( i was in college at the time ) that i didn't ever talk to, nor wanted to talk to, starts friending me just because they wanted more friends, or something.. It was just all so fake and silly that i couldn't be a part of it anymore..

plus the shit that i had on my pages, as far as people leaving me comments/wall postings and my pictures, were not suitable if a job that i applied for happened to look me up..

already if you search my name on yahoo, you see me passed out drunk on my friends carpet.. i need to get rid of that one!

This is the exact problem i had with facebook. I fuckin hate fake people, and have no interest in competing to see who is the most popular and has the most fake friends.
No offence to anyone on facebook/myspace, i can see how it could be fun or whatever. I just couldnt deal with all the people i havent seen in 5 years that all of a sudden "cared" what i was up to. Maybe im just antisocial...lol.

    ha, exactly..

i got myspace in 2004 BEFORE it was cool.. I had friendster and then this myspace thing came up and i joined.. and i had like 70 friends for the longest time cause no one had it.. and it was actually pretty cool because you met new people and stuff, but then 70 friends went to 450 because everyone in a 25 mile radius added me as a friend.. and then the only friend requests i got were Bands in the area that wanted more friends, and every new message i got was some sort of promotion for something.. it became ruined, and is now the Myspace today that everyone loves.. sickening .

hahaha yeah yeah.. i searched yahoo not that long ago and i'm pretty sure it's gone from there.. so i'm cool with that.. at least facebook pics are easy to take down.. i'm close to deleting my facebook again anyway.. the only thing it's really good for involves women. if i meet a girl out somewhere, have a good conversation etc, i can find her on facebook see if she has a boyfriend and not make a fool of myself by asking her out the next time i talk to her if she does.. Also girls take some great pics, and i don't mind looking at them. With that said, i can live without both of those reasons and get rid of all of the other bullshit like how some guy Steve is no longer in a relationship.. or that he posted a picture of his dog and 10 people commented on it.

Thumbs up Re: myspace vs. facebook

I joined myspace recently for the sole purpose of collecting bands I got a message from Stan Lee of The Dickies, sweet.

So far had 2 weirdo spams, 1 sex pervert who I'm giving 2 days to redeem himself or he's off the list.

Good thing about the bands is I can keep track of when they're on tour all from one location rather than go from site to site. So yes if you're in to picking up perverts and to lazy to check a bands website, go for it.

Like Missy pointed out, it can be a really great way to keep up with a lesser known bands news, although they should have a real site for this function.

I find facebook and myspace to be childish and stupid. People are wasting time on there communicating to people that they normally would never communicate with through mediums that dont thrive on ease and just being prying and nosey.
If someone really wants to talk to me. THey can send an email, personal message, or heaven forbid a real phone call or postage letter. I find postage letters the most meaningful way to get communication to me. It is raelly great to get a letter from someone you care about. No one writes them now.

ALso anyone who has 800 photos of themselves is a conceited fuck. Then they look at their own page all the time, or at others trying to keep up with news that doesn't make two shits.
