It's a nice idea, but age is just a number and doesn't indicate how old/young a fighter really is.

For example, a 44 year old Bernard Hopkins is really younger and fresher in boxing years than a 31 year old Erik Morales. A 45 year old George Foreman had less wear-and-tear on him than a 29 year old Riddick Bowe.

It definitely isn't a bad thing to require older fighters to prove they're healthy enough to fight, but shouldn't all fighters be thoroughly examined?

    I agree with you Sweetpea.............

That is the point Sweetpea , theres some experts that said , that this Regulation is an excelent idea , but will create a Controversy , cuz they put the argue , If a boxer is Champion before 39 years old , that mean after the 39 the boxer cant still defending his World Title ? or They will take him off the Title ?................

I agree with Trinidad Sr. , he commented that he see certain discrimination of this , he said ; That he believe the Organizations should abide depending of the Quality of Boxer , ( The Boxing ) is a Business , but the Organization should watch that nobody take a boxer to World Title to fight like a Business , have to be by their Merits , the Organizations have to see how was their lastest fights and their results with a phisical test , out of doubt , the Organizations cant generalize and should not have any regulation that restrict the Right to fight for a World Title to any age................

IMO the Organizations should have to put the boxers to make more rigorous phisical test , you can see some boxers that with just speaking with them , you can note that they cant Boxing and probably could have 25-26 years old , the phisical condition dont have nothing to be with the age..................
But is necessary a rigorous Phisical Test more often...............
