What discribes Jermain Taylor better?

Jermain is a great fighter who got away from what got him the belt in the first place in order to try and please fans....sucks you can beat b-hop, be a champion have very few losses and be described no negativly. With what little some may say he did accomplish it's more than most have done in thier lifetimes. How many of us can say for whatever reason we are the best at any point in the world at what we do....i do however agree with most of the faults people have stated here, this is just how i see the guy.

I agree Jermain has gotten a very bad shake and even his competition has been criticized which is just ridiculous to me. He fought B Hop twice and beat him twice no matter how you feel it went, it was close enough each time and I don't think Jermain lost either.

Then he went and fought the number 2 P4P guy in the world in Winky and they put on a really good fight. I thought Wright won and am still pretty bitter about that but again it was close.

I can see how people didn't like him versus Spinks and at that time he was getting sold down the river for not fighting Edison Miranda of all people. Then gave Pavlik his chance in two competitive fights.

Yet people hate Jermain Taylor. I said before the Pavlik fight that if I could put one fight on national broadcast TV that year it was that one. I don't think I was far off. Very well spoken, nice guy I'm rooting for him at 168.

If i stated this thread a day prior to the first Pavlik fight would he be classed as elite. My question is was Taylor ever regarded as elite in your eyes?

It's fact vs. opinion. Taylor is either world ranked or he isn't.

You have to be crazy to criticize his competition! I really hope he can get back on track - Pavlik's a tough fight for anyone, and his performance in the rematch showed he has the ability to do just that.

The fact that he came back to face Pavlik in a rematch, shows tremendous heart. He can't be done.

I think he will be better at 168lbs he said after the second Hopkins fight (you know when Hopkins stopped moaning for a second) that he Found 160lbs a strain.

When you look at taylor the man looks like a wedge his shoulders are massive but his waist tiny.

I like him good fighter i just dont think he knows how good he is and i dont think he has found his boxing style yet. He seems to lack solid game plans in fights he looks to make them up mid fight.
