Steve Cunningham is about as exciting as watching the communist organisation Fox!

Haye would ruin him, Heavy is best bet.

    John ruiz maybe?
Theres plent of fighters Andrew Golota, Chris Arreola, Sultan Ibragimov, Eddie Chambers, Hasim Rahman, take your pick.[/QUOTE]

When the whole talks of Haye vs Rahman started I initially thought that would be a great barometer for Haye fighting in the heavyweight division. Soon that was thwarted by the sequel of the snoozefest that was Rahman vs Toney being signed to fight each other again.

If Haye is supposed to fight someone just to see how he handles the weight and not be a no-namer, I would go with either John Ruiz, Eddie Chambers, Evander Holyfield (he would take the fight!!).
Ruiz seems to be angling for a rematch with Valuev (and he's got a pretty good case too). If I'm Haye I'm going for a mediocre fighter with a name. Maybe a Calvin Brock or Eddie Chambers, though Chambers is more dangerous than he looks. The kid is the epitome of relaxed in the ring and he might make Haye work a little more than he'd like and as shown in his last victory Chambers actually does know how to punch if he senses weakness. I think the loss to Povetkin will be one of the biggest boosts to his career as it forced him to address the faults of his fighting style. Calvin Brock has seemingly settled into ho-hum status and should just retire back to business banking while he still has a normal-looking face. Or how about Kronk fighter Jonathan Banks? His trainer, Emmanuel Steward has the name recognition and he could be on the undercard to a Klitschko fight. If he beats Banks, who has flirted with the HW division before, then he has his stage to call out just about anyone he wants because the fight would definitely be televised in some capacity. But Banks is dangerous. He has chin and he has punch.

Bit harsh on Mccline , he outboxed Sam Peter for long periods in the fight , that wouldnt be a bad match for Haye.

Yes, but when you take away McCline's 'spinach' he's a very meaty target.

...the top guys being tied up i think is nature saving haye from an un needed ass whoopin. I like the guy but use a first fight to make an example of someone, not necessarily some espn bum but someone to test the HW waters first and stir up some more interest from casul fans. We know who he is...but most over here have no idea who he is....well at least the casual fans i know.

Didn't Brock claim to be injured after his last fight?

Hes a good boxer but he isnt in Hayes league, i think Maccarinelli knocks Cunningham out.

Its not easy for Haye he and Goldenboy will want a pretty big well known name to showcase him.

Im not sure Maskaev is that.

    The rest have fights.
