If we had a working class black tennis player from the Ghetto I'd get behind him.

But I'll be damned if I'm going to support some privileged rich kid whose parents paid for him to be able to play tennis from a young age and never worry about anything else. When you factor in that he doesn't even live in the UK but is an ex pat in Spain I have no reason to offer him my support whatsoever.

Tim Henman I didn't really mind. First he was English and although a middle class toff he was quite quiet and respectful and not prone to anti English outbursts.

Plus he was crap and booing him just seemed like kicking a man whilst he's down
Kind of like everyone does to you.

Well I've just seen from the news that in a completely unsuprising turn of events BOTH Williams sisters have against the odds reached the final and will play each other in what will obviously be a completely shitty and non competive match in which the winner will doubtless be prearranged.

Murray went out in the quarters exactly as predicted so I only need Feder to claim his 1305th successive Wimbledon crown to have got all my picks spot on.

Tennis (Wimbledon at least) is soooooo fucking dull and predictable

I have a bet on Nadal to beat Fed. Got 4/1 odds a while back. i think its 6/4 now. Got a tenner riding on it.

4/1 is pretty good odds when you consider the chances of Nadal or Federer not making the final was about 100/1.

I imagine Federer was probably 1/30 on at the start of the tournament, statistically you're more likely to win the lottery or get hit by a meteor than for Federer and Nadal not to make it to the final of the world's most predictable sporting competition.

Tennis is pretty predictable. There's a massive gap from Federer, Nadal and Djokovic from the rest. One of them 3 will win each major.

I don't follow Tennis but i just flicked through channels yesterday and i come across the Murray match, and i don't know anything about Tennis but the first thing that popped into my head was where the hell is your energy boy ?? jeez he looked as flat as a pancake. If i had trained my ass off for something i really loved doing i would have shown much more determination and energy than that, no matter what i was feeling like, hell Michael Jordan had terrible flu for days and couldn't sleep and was sicking all night, but he still came out and played the best he could and done bloody good, because he loves what he does and you have to admire that, i didn't see that in Murray at all.

You gotta understand Murray had to have been very fatigued from his Monday night match against Gasquet. It was a 4hr. match in which Murray had to come back from 2 sets down, to win the last 3 and advance to Nadal. He had to have been feeling tired, not to mention he had to play Nadal who is #2 in the world and scares everyone.
