I think that to say Hatton Pac is of a far greater magnitude shows a lack of interest in pure boxing imo.

Hatton vs. Pacquaio is a marquee fight. It's only purose is to generate huge sums of moiney and public interest.

As regards boxing significance Hatton vs. Pauoilie is afr more significant.

Why?

The recognised No.1 Light welter fighting another highly rated Light Welter.
Bringing clarity to the division before hopping weights etc.
As opposed to the No.1 light welter defending to a man that has fought 2 divisions below him that same year.
