Hatton at this stage couldn't handle Pac's workrate and if his power carries up even a little bit he has the chance to really shock Ricky. Ricky's defense never was great but now it's really affecting his ability to look good in fights.

Valero is still more hype than substance at the moment...he's fought some tough guys but done nothing to deserve a fight vs Pac. If he beat Guzman or JMM he'd be the #1 guy I would want to see Pac fight but right now Hatton is a bigger fight IMO.

a fight with hatton IS the biggest realistic fight available to pacquiao but is premature at this point. he's only had one fight at 135lbs and still needs to prove himself against the top guys at lightweight including against those who followed him north from super featherweight like guzman, marquez and valero.

This is a good point I'd forgot about Julio and you have to give him crdit for coming back after his hard defeat to juan diaz. But going off the point a little bit I see that Nate Campbell is set to defend against Joan Guzman who to me isn't even a SFW never mind A LW he hasn't even stopped anyone since he was fighting in the super bantams in 2004 and to me hasn't looked comfortable at SFW. So how can Campbell justify fighting him? For me it should have been a rematch between Campbell and Juan Diaz with the winner then taking on Manny Pacquiao and then we would have something close to a unified division taking away Interim champions and all that nonsense.
Campbell has to justify fighting Guzman? Joan is a top 5 p4p fighter, he just beat Soto who is a top contender at 130 and is now campaigning at LW highly ranked. Granted it's a step up in weight but so what? Guzman will win the fight, and there is noone remotely close to as good as he is that CAmpbell could've realistically fought instead soon. Campbell started at feather and 130 as well anyways. It's like saying how could David Diaz justify taking on the smaller guy Pac who hadn't fought at LW. Especially since Campbell isn't even technically the linear champ.
