Cotto UD. Most people don't realize that all of the opponents that Tony has TKO'ed stood in front of him with no head movement or footwork.
Cotto will give him lots of movements and he will be snapping that jab at his face and then using his perfect timing to counter with bombs to the body. Tony will get frustrated on this one ala Tito.
Wow Cotto has suddenly taken a HUGE lead since last time I viewed. I must admit I was shocked when Toni was leading though.
cotto by late stoppage
Toni wont die wondering and take a points loss, ref will eventually step in and call it a day!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
I'm thinking Cotto will win....I want Cotto to win....
But I'm still hesitant.
I'll say Cotto points, I'd be impressed if he could stop Margorito.
This is a huge fight for Cotto. Very risky.

I've seen Pinto, Sosa, and N'Dou, and they are no Antonio Margarito. The first two were physically inferior to Cotto. N'dou was rugged and able to take Cotto's power. And look what happened in that fight. N'dou made Cotto resort to plan "b," which is box and get out of there with a win. The N'Dou fight was Miguel's first real lesson in boxing of what to do when your usual plan does not work. So if anything, his fight with N'Dou, in my opinion, resembles most what I perceive to be the manner in which Cotto's fight with Margarito will play out.
You are right Rican , about N`Duo , but about Sosa and Pinto , i know that they were physically inferior to Cotto , but they were a dangerous opponent too , i just wanted mention that their Style , height , and power have some similarity and how this fight could comes comparative with Margaro , i know that he is more stronger than them with his great uppercut , hard punch and like to put pressure , but with the great improvement that Cotto had get in the last 3-4 fights and now with the great physical training , could be a similar fight with N`Duo , but more exciting , to me Cotto by KO................
Yes they did have similar styles to Margarito.
Since then Cotto has adapted physically into a welterweight fighter.
He has become stronger and more physically durable so perhaps he will be able to handle Margarito as he did N'Dou who was quite a physically forboding fighter at 140.

Cotto has the edge in speed and boxing skills. Margarito has the better chin (few have Tony's chin). Both are hard punchers, although Cotto is the more devastating body puncher. They both have the warrior's heart.
Though I admit my vote is 90% biased and only 10% objective, I say Cotto by late TKO.
The way Tony cuts he may be in trouble from the get go...Cotto cuts but not as bad as Tony......I wonder if Miguel will break Tony's jaw because he is prone to breaking people's jaws, it would have a dramatic effect on the fight
I dont think this is a tough fight to call at all.
Infact I think it would be quite predictable how it unfolds. Tony will plod forward trying to engage in a brawl . Cotto will use superior skills and the difference in class will be very apparent from the start . As the rounds go on Cottos lead will get bigger and he may choose to take his foot off the gas pedal in the later rounds when he knows he has it in the bank . Either way Cotto wins this hands down .
I love both fighters but cotto has met no one near Tony and those relentless punches, maybe a couple of knock downs but my man Tony will still be there at the end points win for Tony.![]()
Cotto wins this one with relative ease. It's a matter of level and Margarito is not on the level of Cotto.
