Outside of that, Carlos Monzon was a scary fellow outside of the ring.

Theres a picture of Ray Robinson missing Jake La Maotta with a left uppercut, the look of sheer animalistic aggression on his face was terrifying to me as a child.

Rubin Carter was always tilting back and forth between deadly focus, and the other extreme of not giving a damn about boxing at all. If you were going to go up against him you better pray that it's one of his off days, God help you if it isn't.
