Like amat said, a punchers chance doesn't mean much against a Mayweather, when you'll be lucky to land 2 solid punches the whole night..
I admit, Floyd is difficult to hit flush in the face, but he is easy to hit in the body since he fights on the ropes a lot as opposed to dance around the ring. Since body work is a Margarito specialty, it is entirely possible that Floyd would slow down in the later rounds. And Floyd is NEVER going to knock down Margarito five times. Floyd has yet to fight a true welterweight other than Oscar. There's a reason he stays away from the likes of Cotto and Margarito. He might not be able to get away with his style against them.

Easy to hit on the body? Hatton and Castillo two ATG body punchers had some success going to the body v PBF, but i'd hardly say they did it easy. The body punches they hit Floyd with also had almost no effect on him. Baldomir was a true Welterweight, Oscar is bigger than a true Welter so the whole Floyd has never fought a true Welter is a load of garbage. Oscar at 154 beats any of the 'True welters ' out there at the moment.

Mayweather would never go to the ropes like he does if he was in the ring with Margarito. Margarito's footwork isn't good enough to consistently cut the ring off. Taeth is right, look at the Baldomir fight. That's exactly what the Margarito fight would look like. Also, Floyd didn't give up the body to Hatton like he did versus De La Hoya, I really doubt he would give it to Margarito.

Just look at what trouble Margarito had when Williams was moving. Williams has nowhere near the footwork of Mayweather, I think it would be 120-108 it's just a terrible, terrible style matchup for Margarito.

Cotto is different, that's a great fight and as close to a pick em as you will get with Mayweather. A great fight between the two best fighters in the world right now imo.

Castillo is a way better body puncher than Margarito(maybe even almost as good as Cotto), and that didn't slow Mayweather down in the second fight(in the first fight its ahrd to tell because Floyd also had a hurt arm). Also Margarito would be too slow to get Mayweather on the ropes enough to do a lot of body work.
