    Default Pavlik-Williams....who wins?

i think this is too much for Williams. He has never really faced a taller guy. I think he should face a middle weight that punches like a middleweight and not like a cruiser weight. I say Pavlik between rounds 1-3. This is nuts for Williams and I wouldnt be suprised if he gets a last minute injury.

The smart bet is clearly Williams by early KO.

This one caught me by suprise as a made match.I really thought Williams would be going up after Quintana rematch...win,loose,or draw but not to full middle.I realize the sparcity and depth at Jr.Middle right now but Williams could do extremely well there as a jump off point.Winky stays at Middle, I'm hard pressed to think of a Huge threat for Williams at 154 lbs....I just dislike Division jumping but you go where the Dollars make sense.

Call me off but With Williams/Pavlik,I keep thinking Williams/Margarito.... NO,I am not saying Williams can undo Pavlik but Pavlik is also all rangy, aggresive & and unloads bricks aplenty....very hard to discourage also.I think williams will need to be very mobile and box a perfect fight if he has any hope of taking this one.If Williams stands in front,Smothers is own range and does that bend over with leaky Defense style and open fist punching,He will get wrecked.I just do not see Him dealing with Pavliks own jab and Power and I think Williams will get stopped convincingly.

Im going Pavlik by decision. I think Wiiiliams will have the movement and reach to stay out of trouble. Being a southpaw he will make things awkward for THE GHOST.I think Pavlik will be chasing him around the ring and win a clear UD.

If Paul plans on being on his backfoot all night he will not only lack any power to hurt Pavlik, but will get caught sooner or later, as that heigth advantage he is used to won't help him with Pavlik, as he'll close that ring down and pound him.

If Paul gets a crazy notion to stand and trade with Kelly Pavlik then he'll look like Gumby on valium. Pavlik ko within 6.

And if Williams wins I'm taking a hot bath with razor blades.

    I'm not saying Kelly is the greatest ever, and I am in no way saying Williams is junk. I'm just amazed he is going from WW to meet the best MW in one leap{who's bright idea was this??}

Movement ? Quintana hit him at will , Pavlik is much better and the fight will be a ritual Killing with Pavlik winning inside 4

A ritual killing is something that lasts more than 6 minutes.......

Well that is true, I just usually thought they drag out ritual killing for the entertainment factor.

I am taking the first Quintana fight as just a bad night that wont happen again. Im no Williams fan but something tells me he will go a lot of rounds with Kelly. I like Kelly and am a big fan of his but am slightly concerned that some people are making him out to be some kind of Superman.

If Williams is sparked early i'll admit i was wrong, but i think even tho he gives up power to Kelly he is a good enough boxer to keep out of trouble for a long time. He will surprise us all with how competitive he is.

williams just uses his height n other adv as a tool to beat his usually smaller opponents IMO and Pav is bigger so i think pav will just use his strength and height adv and win by KO

This just seems like such a strange matchup to me. I like Williams and hope he does well but to just go up two divisions and jump in with the best is maybe a little kamikaze. He should go up and fight a top 10 ranked fighter and test the waters before going anywhere near Pavlik.

Probably a Pavlik win by brutal KO.

Williams will get knocked out no doubt.

Pavlik will pressure him, hurt him then knock him out.

Williams has nothing that will trouble Pavlik.
