Rahman got called trying to pull a Francisco Lorenzo. Tony started to get the best of him and he knew that this was a way out. It was obvious that the cut wasn't going to stop the fight so he took it upon himself to come up with something better "blindness." The plan backfired.
That's rubbish mate, Hasim may not have been the greatest champion but he's never been a quitter. He wouldn't start looking for a way out just because he lost a round that's just absurd.
Just because he never has exhibited signs of being a quitter before doesn't mean thats not what happened here. The stakes have never been higher for Rahman than in this fight. Never has his career been on the line. I think he panicked and thought he found a way out that backfired on him.
