Oscar is different from Oscar's people, unless you have direct quote of Oscar saying this then you should change the title of this thread because it misrepresents the situation.

Oscar people must be smoking crack. Now that I think about it I think I want to see Cotto-Pac. Yeah that would be nice
Either that or Oscar can just keep him on the distance with a jab and the one-two like Eric did for an easy unanimous decision. Even the crowd roared "Ooooleeeee" every time Pac did his straight left charge.
And many of his fans too can't see Manny loosing even if he fought a heavyweight or daring themselves to mention a weakness or two.Freddie seems to think Manny is superman.
This fight will benefit Oscar and Pac when it comes to money. I somehow feel Pac draws way more fans than Cotto and ODLH can fight a bum and still sell out EVEN A STADIUM! How many fighters nowadays can do that? Anyways, ODLH vs Pac will definitely bring more money and both will leave the ring happily after the fight.
Assuming PAC and Cotto are of the same size (assuming they're both natural 147 boxers), who do you think the easier fight for Oscar?
Stylistically Pacman vs Oscar would be a good matchup. But realisticly Oscar is way too big. I mean Oscar has weighed in as high as 160lbs whereas Manny weighed in for his debut at 106lbs. I know that neither of these are either fighters natural weight but for me Manny at Lightweight has gone as high as he can EFFECTIVELY go and Oscar would probably demand a catchweight of 150.
I personally would prefer to see Manny take over and unify the 135 division and I would like to see Oscar fight the winner of the Cotto-Margarito fight. I certainly wouldn't write Oscar out of winning a fight between himself and the winner of that either.
The only thing is say he does take on the winner of that fight and beat them what would happen then? Mayweather would all of a sudden want a rematch with Oscar and then retirement would be out of the window for Oscar as it would then be too much of a money making event for the money making machine that is Oscar De La Hoya!
obviously this is a publicity stunt to make this fight happen. Because if Glory is what Oscar and PAC wants then they should fight the best in the welterweight division(winner of Cotto-Margarito).
Just so happens that Oscar-PAC combo could probably sell more than Oscar vs. ............ or PAC vs......................
To reiterate this fight is not for Glory or divisional supremacy but a delusional attempt for a mega buck showdown between some of the biggest names in boxing currently

True, very true. Didn't mean to mislead anyone with the post at all (not my style). Just meant to spur anaylysis and conversation. Regardless, knowing de la Hoya and his money grubbing, I wouldn't put it past him to actually claim that publicly sometime in the future. He is a smart guy and I wouldn't put it past him to OK his people to make the comment, either. It's all speculation, I must admit.
I read that Arum told Roach to shut up dogging Oscar as its unprofessional and not making it any easier doing a deal.
Freddie seems to think Manny is superman.
Its a money fight no doubt, i cannot see Pacquaio fighting Oscar before fighting Hatton. Oscar is probably talking about fighting the winner.
Why would pac not fight Hatton at 140 (hich in mosts eyes is a pickem) get a truck load of money anyway then move up again and fight Oscar?
