He was actually beaten 25 times and KOd 7 but I know what you mean most of them came towards the end and there was no shame in losing to Rocky and Jersey Joe, in fact I think he beat Joe twice and got beat back off him twice not to mention beating the legendary (but aged) Joe Louis.Originally Posted by Scrap
I don't know a lot about his illness ALS but from what I can gather he was in a similar (but worse) state to Ali. I hate to see things like this happen to people like that. I mean they are such powerful men and then they get these horrible diseases and they turn into a shell of that one time phenomenon.

Im pretty sure He was Diagnosed with the Desease Before the Rocky Fight in fact a bit before.He died at 53 very young. If you check A L S youll think How the Fuck could He Fight.

He went through a bad patch losing to Bivens and Marshall getting knocked down 8 times with Bivens And Marshall koing Him plus having him down 8 times Both great fighters. I remember Marshall coming over to England and KOd Freddie Mills in 1 . Yet after that He went on a run beating the pair of them , a Fighting Man no doubt.
