Again... I'm a huge Pavlik fan, and never been a Hopkins fan. But a KO? That'd be one of the easiest bets in boxing. If Hopkins has avoided getting KO'ed throughout his career, even from much bigger guys, what makes you think that Pavlik's going to do it?
I think the reason people are thinking it can be a KO is because Hopkins is obviously at the end of his career and if it's going to happen at any point, it will probably happen now.

Hopkins has the craftiness, (and dirty-ness) to steal a win here by boring decision and possibly upset Pavlik's momentum.
If Kelly wins, then it was against a washed up B-Hop who recently lost to Joe Calzaghe and Jermain Taylor. The credibility for the win disappears due to Hopkins age and string of losses.
If Kelly loses, and it would most likely be because of a tactically nightmarish borefest points loss, well there goes his 0, there goes his momentum, here come the naysayers and it may be well undeserved.
Much like James Toney, Hopkins is capable of upsetting anyone on a given night, but I daresay its not because he's the better fighter or the guy that deserves to win. These old school fighers are simply saavy enough to get the job done in the end, no matter how ugly.
I would like to see Pavlik go another direction. Abraham most definitely.
I think Pavlik's camp is going this direction because if they beat Hopkins more decisively than Calzaghe did, there's no way Joe can hide from him. If they do, then he will be criticized heavily for ducking Pavlik.
I agree if Hopkins wins, which he definitely can, Pavlik's career may be in danger. This is a high risk, somewhat high reward fight if you ask me. More credit to Pavlik for taking it.
Yeah good point's but I ALWAYS get nervous when fighters and thier "People" start looking at the fight AFTER this one. It always spells disatster. On ESPN it says Pavlik is not thrilled about the fight, the quote seemingly form Bob Arum is "Kelly isn't thrilled with the fight, but one of the incentives he has is that if he's going to fight Calzaghe after Calzaghe fights Roy Jones, it will be 168 pounds anyway. So it gets him ready for that fight." I hate it when they take a fight but are looking at another.
“If you even dream of beating me you'd better wake up and apologize.” Muhammad Ali.
