Shane Mosley in Australia helping out Billy Dib - Video

Yeah it was a good fight. I was hoping to hell Taylor would win... O well. He's doing really well now Shannon. After the Mosley fight he went off the rails a bit and had some problems with drugs but he is fighting fit these days and often fights on the local Friday Night Fights. I have a recording of one of his recent fights, at super middle i think for the Australasian title i think. I'm really happy for him that he's now got a good domestic career going.

I'll have to admit that I never get to see him fight, but I check up on him every so often on Boxrec.

I do that with a few fighters, I did it with Jason Quick also and a couple of Euro fighters.

Well keep your eye on Billy Dib and as Eagle mentioned earlier William Kickett. They are 2 good prospects form Aus.

But in seriousness, Shane has become one of my favourite boxers once again.
I was very disheartened by the entire BALCO scandal, but I honestly think he's trying to prove that he's better than any blatant steroid user.

Dibs got the youth and like I said the speed some skills there but like I said he needs a lot more development. I liked his outing vs. Matwaga that was a good showing.

Yeah that was a good fight. I was a little concerned that GBP was throwing him in too early into big fights when he wasn't ready so it's good to see him here working with Johnny Lewis and Shane Mosley and making his way up the ranks steadily.

Last thing that I heard about Jonny Lewis he was training a young up and coming heavyweight from Samoa I think. That was a while ago though and I was wondering if anybody knows who I mean and how he is going on.

He has 2 good heavyweights at the moment. The one I think you are talking about is Solomon Haumono. I've seen a few of his fights and he is very powerful. He is a heavyweight with no fat on him at all a record of 14 - 0 with 14 Ko's. Solomon Haumono is his boxrec. Johnny is moving him up slowly which is good to see. I'm hoping he can do good things with and for Solomon.

Yeah Solomon definetly looks the part and has great power. Opponents are rubbish tho. He has a good trainer tho, and a good athlete, with decent skills and power could do a lot in the HW division at the moment.

Yeah that's true but it's kinda good Lewis is looking after him. He'll get there if he keeps at it. The thing that pisses me off though is that Solomon who is the real deal is fighting his way up and bloody John Hopoate is going up against Bob Mirovic in Sept (I think) for the Australian Heavyweight title. Hopoate is a joke and shouldn't be getting the chance. Anyway I hope Big Bob teaches him a lesson.
