    A great night huh Spicoli'?

Let them have a rematch; same outcome but maybe earlier. This will leave a lasting impression on Cotto and not sure how he'd react when he steps in again with Margarito.

Props to Cotto, that guy never quits. Cintron wouldn't have made it 5 rounds with Tony tonight.

I still say Floyd beats Tony pretty decisively. Cotto would be a harder fight for Floyd and I would still love to see a Cotto/Mayweather match up.
i agree cotto would still be harder for mayweather simply because cotto is quicker and has more sharper/accurate punches.. compared to a pressure fighter who floyd, at this point of his career has fought enough pressure fighters, that he could dispose of him in his sleep..

but i don't even know what comes next..
Tony may seem simple at times but from what Ive seen,Mayweather would lose much sleep indeed Vs. Margarito.By no means is that a gimme after this....come on?There's only so much ring to waltz with and Tony insist's that you stand your ground.....

understood, but wait til tomorrow after this margarito buzz is over (which i am well enjoying btw) and then re-assess the situation.. watchin hatton/mayweather, then ODLH/mayweather.. it's the same shit.. stalking by the pressure fighter, and countering by mayweather.. mayweather/margarito would NOT be a pretty fight as mayweather would clinch as soon as tony came in close, but tony isn't as quick as cotto, and i think mayweather would see his punches coming and dodge them matrix style.. no doubt tony is the harder puncher and given the opportunity to sneak a shot in there it would have more effect than cotto's punch, but i'd see cotto connecting easier/more often..

just ask yourself if margarito hits harder then ODLH.. then ask yourself whos quicker..

i favor ODLH in both departments, which yields a victory for mayweather as he disposed of ODLH handily..

But delahoya stopped using what was working and was exhausted as the fight wore on. Delahoya stamina cost him that fight. Tony gets stronger as the fight goes into the deep.

All credit to Margarito he aint the best boxer but he is one hell of a warrior he just took everything Cotto hit him with and kept coming back.

As for Cotto he will be back he is to good not to be back he gave his all last night and fell short but still looking forward to when he gets in the ring next time out he's a class fighter that just got outgunned on the night.

Cotto will have trouble coming back from that, that was a beat down. At the end He didnt want to be there, a broken man, Ive a feeling thats it.

Why are people talking about a rematch like that fight was close? On the cards it was fairly closeish i felt, but only because thats how marga had to fight it.

There were numerous times in the match where cotto looked ready to go, it was only a matter of time. It's not like he took a clean punch and got sparked either, Toni made him basicaly quit and give up; He kept going down down and stubbling about, he showed great great heart to try, but he couldn't take anymore. That shit stays in your head for a long long time, you don't forget that over night or by beating a punch bag until the rematch.

Cotto can still whoop 99% of the other fighters there, he just never realy had a chanc against a guy who was able to hurt him and not being able to hurt ihm back. He needed the high and reach to out jab him and keep him away, it was only a matter of time before toni got in close and his punches took their tol,e the rematch will be the same, come on...

Would much much rather see toni fight berto or get one back off williams. Cotto maybe come back agaisnt cintron and look for other names before a rematch.

I'm not one to get caught up in Temporary Carnival barker Hype,Heres what I know.Margarito just knocked out the # 1 Welter and had Mayweather turn him down in prior opportunity and opted to "retire".I'm enjoying what Margarito accomplished tonight. I do not recall mentioning ODH as hopeful but call me nuts.......I think Tony shot per shot & volume lands harder than Oscar ODH has better selection and skill set....but Margarito lands harshly and often.
