Yeah He needs to beat the guy who owned him if he wants to be the best but if I were in team Tony Id be looking for Oscar / Floyd or Cotto fights .

He can win those dont know if he can ever beat Paul Williams .

Well he got beat and the two guys that beat him recently are Santos and Paul Williams. Neither of those fights are gonna be high profile rematches so if Tony wants to cash in he needs to fight another smaller guy like Cotto , Judah etc cuz he towers over them .

I see Mayweather coming out of retirement now for 2 reasons!

    1. Margarito looked very beatable when Cotto boxed him.
2.Mayweather won't be able to resist when people start saying Tony would beat him (which they will).

I would rather see De La Hoya fight him but after last night I don't see it, Oscar is getting on a bit now and I don't think he would want some PITBULL chasing him round the ring for 12 rounds. That said I've never known Oscar back down to a fight before and I wouldn't write Oscar off. I certainly don't see him stopping Oscar!

I hope he fights Oscar and pounds him into retirement. He deserves the match.

It's 100% De la Hoya for a number of reasons.

#1 Oscar brings more money to a fight with Toni IMO
#2 This fight is something where both guys can prove how great they are
#3 Toni is still vulnerable to being outboxed so a fight with Mayweather is not the right choice as Floyd can easily do better than Miguel in regards to movement and defense.

I think after watching the Cotto-Margarito fight that Miguel proved he could really pair up nicely vs Mayweather Jr. as he showed he could move well and still land with power and accuracy

I think any of the choices look good. But personally I think he should avenge his loss to Williams. An aggresive Margarito jumping out of the gate would steamroller Williams a 2nd time around, IMO.

I cannot picture Arum putting Margarito anywhere near Williams again. He knows what the risk is against Williams and will want to keep that belt in house.

You might see a Cotto rematch or a fight against the Clottey/Judah winner.

I would not mind a Williams rematch but Rue Paul is going in a weightier direction It seems.Would not be shocked to see Williams at Jr middle/Middleweight soon. That was not a blow out but a very close fight with Williams boxing like A freak in the first 6 rounds and Tony coming on strong...as usual in the late rounds.

Berto has title and unifictaions are always nice but right now, regardless of handspeed and potential Berto would be well over his head and get beatup bad imo

Does anyone,in hindsight really still believe that tired line.."If Clottey did not injure his hand,He would have beaten Tony"...blah seriously!

I think it will either be Mayweather or Delahypa.

I think its vital for Antonio Margarito to revenge his defeat to Paul Williams before he starts thinking of big pay day against Oscar De La Hoya and as for Miguel Cotto i think he should be left alone for awhile and let him redeem himself sticking him in with Antonio Margarito straight away just after the beating he received would be just like throwing him into the lions den...........

I voted for the Clottey/Judah winner. I don't think he'll rematch Williams who I think has his number, but he'll beat anyone else in the division. Next fight will either be C/J or a mandatory.

Of course I could be completely wrong about this.

I would hope a rematch with Paul Williams is the route it goes. If Tony wins that than i can see him honorably retiring.
