Some good points, welcome to the forum.

Ricky would beat Miguel at 140, simply because it is so hard for Miguel to make 140 and Ricky makes it so naturally.

    You raise an interesting point.
How mentally damaged has Ricky been from the Mayweather KO?
    and
How physically damaged has Ricky been from tough fights and a horrible lifestyle?

I really want to see how he performs against Malignaggi to answer these questions.
Malignaggi is a fighter comfortable fighting of the backfoot for 12 rounds.
In order to beat him Ricky will need a very high output and range of foot movement and will need to go the distance.

I think we'll finally see what Hatton has left. Malignaggi could well take this fight oif Ricky is poor.

(I'm a huge Ricky fan btw.)

Ricky would beat him at 140. Cotto would be too weight drained.

A perfect example of the unique nature of each human body.

Ricky sheds 3 stone of pure lard.
    Cotto sheds perhaps a stone.

Cotto is weight drained, Ricky at full fitness.

    Incredible.

I think you are 100% right in that we will see what Ricky has left against Malignalli.

If he is only 75% him normal self, and fights like he he has the last couple of times (bar Castillo), Malignalli will find him out...

Imagine if Hatton would have fought Margarito at welter , it would have been murder .

You are correct, Hatton should have never moved up to Welterweight...

Mal;ignaggi is good on the counter and difficult to hit, Ricky will need to be faster than he was against most recent opponents.

The show against Lazcno was good offensively, but he'll need to sharpen a bit and improve immensely interms of defense.
