I think the Shane fight was very close with Cotto edging it; I don't think it's a good idea for your first fight after a loss to be another one you could potentially lose.

Agreed it could show how much is left in the tank after that war! if he loses to Mosely this time it's fair to say the Cotto dream is over.

true, its do or die time so to speak for cotto, i think he should be able to get back to the top the only problem is i dont see margarito going nowere at the moment,

one thing i have thought about though since the fight, what tarnishes a legacy more - blatently ducking a feared fighter or stepping up and fighting them but being beat decisivley? what do you think

Id say its a good fight for Cotto and one he'd win again.

well ducking a feared fighter tarnishes your legacy more imo alot of the greats in boxing have a loss on their records and still get called the greatest its all about how you come off that loss and i think cotto will bounce back because he did look good in the fight you cant deny that as for his next opponent bob is thinking about possibly the winner out of judah/clottey. Personally i would like to see him face clottey because its not someone he has faced befor and another good name on your resume.

I dunno i feel the blueprint for beating Cotto was sorta already laid down in their first fight. He struggled at times on the backfoot during the latter part of the fight. Altho he boxed brilliantly at times, he's more effective coming forwards.

I fail to see what he gets out of winning a rematch.

I'd like to see him fight Collazo. Not as a comeback fight tho. Just in general.

The loss definitely hurts more than ducking a fighter because how much does leonard ducking prior hurt him in retrospect? Not at all really compare that to his loss to duran; If he had beaten duran in the first fight things would be looked at differently.
