Think cotto would of eaten him if both were at heir best, Kostya too, he was tailor made for Kostya more than anyone. Maybe one with Urkal would have turned into a great war. Correct me if they did fight.. I cant remember.

I'm not sure about that. Branco is nothing special. At the time, 2004, Cotto was already thoroughly beating guys like Pinto, Maussa, Sosa, N'Dou, and he beat Chop-Chop in 2005.

Prime Gatti at 135 against Juan Diaz...that would be a fight.

ssss said Bobby Chacon I will go the other way and say Ray Boom Boom Mancini. That would have been awesome. Build it up like who is the best Italian fighter or some such s**t. Cheesy. Anyway that would be my pick

I like the idea of Gatti vs Hatton or Katsidis.

I can't believe no one mentioned a fight between Gatti vs Corrales @ 135!!! That is what I'd like to see!

You know whenever I think of Gatti and who he would have made great fights with, I think of Vinny Pazienza first and then Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.

All those guys are really of the same mentality. I think Paz had the absolute most guts though. With Mancini a close second. Though Mancini was a better fighter than Gatti and Paz, honestly. I mean look at his fight with the Great Alexis Arguello.

Gatti vs. Pazienza or Gatti vs. Mancini would have been an absolute fight to the finish!

Gatti would pair up well with the following:

    Ricky Hatton
    Diego Corrales
    Acelino Frietas
    Jose Luis Castillo

He wouldn't win any of those fights but it would be fun to watch

He would get destroyed by all of them, but Shane Mosley would be the most entertaining fight.

Mosley is very aggressive and leaves himself open, so that would make for some entertaining action. Margarito's defense is more leaky than Mosley, but he's bigger and I'm thinking about a matchup at 135-140.

Corrales would beat Gatti up badly. Gatti of course has the puncher's chance but his punches are so much wider than Chico's were. Corrales threw brilliant combos on the inside, quick hands, crisp combos, short punches that didn't have to travel as far. Gatti bled and swelled a lot at 130 and 135. Gatti had some solid boxing skills, as he showed against Patterson both times, but it wasn't hard to get him to start trading. Corrales would most likely do that when he starts landing some punches.

Castillo is too tough and solid all around for Gatti. Gatti might have a chance against Freitas and Hatton, but I'd make him the underdog in those 2 matchups as well.

Gatti-Augustus would have been a classic
