Miguel Cotto is 27 and he unlike Floyd has fought Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito and he KO'd Zab Judah...those are all things Floyd didn't do. And in fighting Margarito he did fight the best at 147 that fight was ultimately for the bragging rights in the division.

I don't really respect the Gomez fight but fighting Carlos Quintana as his first fight at 147 is pretty big. Floyd fought Sharmba Mitchell as his first fight at 147....WEAK...had he done it maybe 5 years earlier then hell yeah it would be worth something but at that point in his career Sharmba was done.

Floyd is a great boxer but he took no chances
    A 27 PBF had
    fought and beat Castillo twice
    KO'd Angel Mafredy in 2
    TKO'd Genaro Hernandez in 8
KO'd Diego Corrales in 10 after knocking him down 5 times.
By age 27 he had won titles at 2 divisions, same as Cotto.
U cannot say that Floyd ducked anyone in his first 2 weight divisions same as Cotto.
Difference is Floyd then went up another 19 pounds and won titles, that would be the equivalent of Cotto winnig a 168 title. If Cotto fought a 168 titleist and won guys like u would be saying how great it was, yet when Floyd does something similiar, u just dismiss it.

My point is that at age 27 Floyd had done as much if not more than Cotto.
At lighter divisions, maybe. But at 147, if Floyd wants to be considered the best, he needs to fight the division's best. That hasn't happened.

Thank you, u just strengthened my point. At lighter weights, cos Floyd is a lighter person naturally than Cotto or Margo.

As for the whole didnt unify a division argument, that is bullshit. If Floyd had of stayed at 130 all his fighting life he would easily have unified the division, but there is no way he would have got the P4P satus he enjoys from moving up divisions. What is more impressive? Unifying 130. or moving from 130 up to 154 and beating a future Hall of Famer? Moving up of course.

It wouldn't take Floyd long to unify we all know boxing is about money and Floyd can bring that and he could have unified any division he wanted to but never even TRIED to.

So truth I guess Floyd is really gunning for Bill Gates??

The problem is Floyd wants to be considered as the greatest of all time and he's not coming close because he's leaving questions about himself unanswered.

To be fair you could pick holes in Miguel Cotto's resume aswell.

I'm not going to because it will turn into a giant debate and possibly slagging off contest.

You can't blame Mayweather for chasing the money now. Boxing has become more of a business than a sport. He's earned the right to earn as much money as he can.

    Looks at who he's beaten...

    Manfredy
    Hernandez
    Chavez
    Chico
    Castillo (twice)
    Gatti
    Judah
    Oscar
    Hatton

There would be hard-ons all aorund if Cotto/Hatton or Pavlik had a resume like that.

Come on man,Do you honestly think Cotto was trying to emulate Mayweather? To an open mind, the man has evolved & improved his skill set before our eyes from somewhat raw instinct trader to a vastly Improved Boxer .He lost a fight but thats been known to happen in this sport when you want tough fights & step up against top tier threats.

i guess he is gunning for bill gates if you say so. money is a issue in everyones life even people who are rich but everyone has there own point of veiw. and if cotto and floyd would have faught cotto whould have 2 losses on his record if your a cotto fan you shouldn't even want him to fight floyd in 39 wins 26 ko's yo u do the math the man can fight both ways hatton was like 41-0 one knock down pbf knocked him out hard 41 other guys couldn't even beat him
