Whilst Bunce ain't too bad I wish Setanta would show more undercard fights and less Bunce

What fights did they show on the Zab v Clottey card, did you stay up at 3am, I did not.

I got up at 0245 and watched it, they showed the main fight, the KO from the Chavez fight and the Peterson fight although i missed the end of the Peterson fight as Setanta on freeview cut off at 5am

Yeah its like listening to a drunk in a pub talking about boxing , but Bunce is on tv so he should be presenting an experts analysis. He's just a fan who likes boxing but his opinion is no better than anyones else. Its not as if he were a boxer himself. What does he know?

I prefer guys who have been there and done that who can present their insight in a professional way . Not a scummy loudmouth !
You're being too harsh on Bunce. He has a noisy style, yes, but surely you don't disagree with EVERYTHING he says?

You have to understand he is talking back to a presenter that knows nothing about boxing (constant banal questions) and an uninformed audience (the majority of viewers are not hardcore fans like us).

What pundits do you think are good?

I like Glen Mcrory . I think him and Ian Darke should have never been split up cuz they worked well together .

In terms of studio analysis I think Mguigan was good and to the point . Jim Watt was often accurate and they add a certain dignity to the boxing that Bunce takes away .

I used to like Glenn and Darke too. But sometimes Darke gets on my nerves when calling these days. Actually, I would go as far as saying he is a pretty poor fight reader - Oscar-Floyd, Hatton-Floyd (maybe it was falsely intentional in Hatton's case ).

McGuigan is too scared to upset anyone in boxing (Warren's mob). That makes him crap.

I like Watt. But he has some absolute SHOCKERS in the commentary box.. especially with his scorecard, which is very inconsistent, and when calling American fights, whenever he gets wind of the HBO card, seems to start favouring the fighter they have winning

Colin Hart is the best british boxing writer and expert (if there is such a thing), then Bunce is probably second.

Yeah Colin Heart is and always was the best boxing pundit.

Bunce is a loud twat, Watt is an anoying little scottish prick, when Tyson fought Saverese and knocked the ref down, Watt nearly pissed himself with anger and shouted "hes just a devil!!" He also gives very biassed views on some boxers that make me laugh because he always seems to back the looser.

Even though im not a fan of Roy Jones and a uk resident (so I dont get to hear his commenterys very much) Jones does talk sense.

When he commentated on Trinidad v Mayorga, he didnt favouritise either and basicly just said what was going on, he also commented that basicly the only reason that Trinidad was coming on in the fight was because it didnt look as though Mayorga had trained, he gave the impression that if he had he would have had Trinidad because he was doing the better work to start before he tired very early. I would have thought with Trinidad being the big star that he would have ben obliged to say something more like "Trinidads skill is now starting to show"

He also comes out with good tactical points that id have missed that are interesting.

Lewis bugs me, hes too up his own ass still to give a good comentery, hed rather talk about how hed have done than whats going on.

For all Mike Tysons encyclopedic boxing knowledge he didnt male a very good comentator, he was too busy enjoying watching that to just observe, if I remember right he repeated something like "oh my god" over and over

    I was thinking of Dunstan-Gurov

But for some strange reason thought Andre was looking for an ex-fighter commentator that sparked someone in one, instead of McGuigan doing the call on the fight

What does it take to be an expert? I'm pretty sure he called Edwin Valero a top ten p4p'er as well a few weeks ago.

Then take into account sky's dreadful p4p lists.

Seriosuly, i think Steve Bunce is the saviour.

Guys with this amount of knowledge shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the telly

Yea I read that as well.Stupid comments by McGuigan.

I think Hatton would struggle with any WW in the top ten.
