Pac's cross over appeal is just starting. He's too busy fighting Mexican Legends that why he can't crossover the Mainstream American Audience. Now it's different. He'll be fighting the most Popular Fighter in Boxing History. That's different that just fighting the most popular Mexican and He will be fighting at the weight Class where Regular American tune in (it's well documented that mainstream America don't care about the lower weight Class below 140).

Pac already has Stallone, Tyson, Bruce willis, the entire Celtics Team as his Celebrity Fans. Winning against DLH will guarantee an influx of Celebrities in his next fights.
You make good points... I just don't see him having the draw power Oscar has/Had.
You are talking about a few ingredients that make Delahoya the draw that he is/was and looks, charm, charisma are a big part.. I'm sorry but Pac wont get there..
So tell who will be there as the PPV KING after DLH retires??

I'm not saying Pac will be as BIg as DLH. What I'm saying is Pac will carry the torch as the #1 Attraction that was Passed from Ali to Leonard to Tyson to DLH and now will be to Pacquiao.

After Pac retires him, Pac will be the one commanding this top Dollars.
Wow!...If there are people that see a possibility in both fighters to win then the fight is not THAT bad, is it?
JuliusRain even can't see it and I consider him a big Pac supporter.
I'm also predicting this fight as more exciting and entertaining than the previous Hoya-Mayweather fight.
Me too Saddo considering that Pac's style is not too much of a boxer/bycicle like Mayweather. It's just difference in styles that will probably make us see more fireworks when Pac and DLH get it on compared to Mayweather vs ODLH where we have 2 of boxing's greatests go in there and be cautious and box instead of brawl and just let it all loose.
But boxing wise, Oscar hasn't had a signifigant victory in 6 years!!! I don't think he is relevant as a fighter anymore.
    The Wiz,
Not a significant victory maybe but did he look shot against Mayweather? Let's remember Mayweather IS the best at the moment. It's not like ODLH was Mayweather's doormat that night, it was far from that which led to a questionable split-decision. If ODLH got completely dominated/punished/brutalized/destroyed (as many proclaimed) then I would agree that ODLH has nothing at all to offer. He's not in his prime, sure.
Pac could come in at 138 or so and be practically the same guy who fought David Diaz and that guy gives Hatton PROBLEMS.
    Killface,
Can we really compare Diaz with Hatton? I don’t get why people would get totally excited about Pac beating Diaz, Cotto beating Gomez, and ODLH beating Forbes.

    David Haye

Could be Pac and I must apologize then, I thought you said Manny would be bigger than Delahoya is/was

I will tell you this I dont think Pac can beat Delahoya, but I dont wanna get into that right now

He was able to combine all of that to gain popularity with the hardcore boxing fan aswell as the casual fan who are enamored with names like Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Leonard etc.

Pac is as exciting of a fighter as there have been, but thats about all his appeal amounts too compared to the conglomorent that encompasses Delahoyas popularity

ODLH OWNS Golden Boy Promotions and The Ring, that trumps all the celebrity fans you've discussed.

And Now it looks like a DLH fight is almost a sure fight to happen. It will happen and this will be the Changing of the guard as the Money Man of Boxing. DLH's making the Top Dollar for years. After Pac retires him, Pac will be the one commanding this top Dollars.

We thought it was PBF who will be the Money man after DLH. BUt he ran out of Opponents he thinks he can beat. So his money stops there.

Assuming Pac beats DLH which is not easy but I believe Pac will win. Pac's next fight after that will be the top money maker in Boxing. Here's my projected PPV buys on Pac's remaining fights for Greatness.

    Pac-DLH.... 2M PPV
Pac-Hatton....1.6M PPV(could be more if he KO DLH)
Pac-JMM......1.4M PPV(could be more if Pac KO Hatton)
Pac-PBF.....Will break all records. (Could be a trilogy) This will be like 2M X 3 PPV+MOre than 6M PPV buys.

If Pac still wants extra cash...
Pac vs Nate, Juan Diaz, Gamboa, Khan, or even Margarito(If he still on top which I doubt) is still a very Big Money Maker.

    Your thoughts
I think Pac vs Oscar is a ridiculous fight to make...& there aint much of a guard change there.

Pac vs Hatton would be more sensible...provided he get's by Paulie.

Fighting Oscar is just money...& truthfully...Oscar could very well be too much for Pacquiao. You have to take into effect (you being a Pac fan, just as I did as a Cotto fan) that the physical is often too much for certain fighters to overcome.

It showed in Cotto against Margarito...& it would most likely show in Pac against Oscar.

I personally like Pac at the lower weights.

Out of all the fights above that you mentioned of Pacquiao...what about Pac's show out against Torrecampo?

The shot heard round the world.

Truthfully out of all of Pac's fights...the two that he shined the most for me were against Barrera & the first two Morales fights...the loss against Morrales was as fun to watch as was the win.

Since then...I have'nt really watched Pac fight that much outside of the Diaz bout.

While I credit Pac for being a good fighter...I can honestly say that I aint a fan...but I would truly love to see him move up & conquer someone @ light welter/junior welter...the winner of Hatton vs Malignaggi would be nice...but if he's going to fight Oscar...I'd rather see him fight someone that aint so spent.

Names that come to mind outside of Hatton would be Urango, Witter, Hopkins, or Malignaggi...but it would have to be someone that wore a strap, commanded respect, or atleast made for a good match up.

Also...I thought everyone wanted to see Pac face that other KO artist...errrrrm...I forget his name...Valero!!!

The guy that everyone said was going to run the division after Pac left out for greener grasses.

Not a fan of him either...but I'd be curious to see what the clash brought.

What happened to all that noise from both camps? I know he can't or was'nt supposed to fight stateside...but he's got a pretty fit record & I heard/read that offers were made, struck, & declined.

Don't compare Pac to Cotto. Pac is a Proven great fighter. Pac already Moved up from 112-122, to 122-126, to 126-130 & to 130-135. Did you see any deterioation of speed & power as he moved up Did you see any extra fat in his Belly like Duran?? ALL Pac add was skills & more muscle mass to his body. Pac is a once in a Lifetime Kind of fighter. I'm seeing is clearly but I don't get it that you guys don't see what I'm seeing.

What does Duran having a small belly have to do with anything its a boxing match not a bodybuilding competition..

Also we are boxing fans and you seem to be a PAC fan only so we tend to have a broader view of whats going on

It has to do with Pac as a more athletic kind of fighter than Duran & Cotto. Cotto's has the fatty genes. If he's not boxing he's probably going to be fat just like some guys in his camp. Duran is the same, he baloons whenever his not training. Pac is moving up in weight because of the Challenge & the money. PBF is small too but he outpointed DLH because of speed. Pac, PBF, SRL, SRR & Armstrong are the Kind of athletic Great Fighters. These guys win fights against Bigger fighters because of their athletic gifts.

I'm a Pac fan coz I'm entertained. And he makes us Pinoy Proud. I like Pavlik, Cotto, Kirkland, Concepcion, Donaire, Vic Ortiz, and many more as long as they are exciting. I bought PPV like Cotto-Margo & PBF vs Judah,Hatton & DLH. Even the valero fight in Mexico I bought that PPV. BUt it started all with pac. He's still my standard bearer. I'm into boxing now coz I want to see where pac stands now.

Oscar said it's personal... He felt betrayed by PAC in the past when PAC signed with GBP first then switched to Top Rank.
Pac is safe and wont hurt him.
I'm rooting for PAC to win over Hoya. So I'm hoping that what you said is the mindset of Hoya. I hope Hoya is totally underestimating PAC's capabilities.

Oh yeah, I predicted that more pacnuts would show up here in Saddo.

Had to agree with P4P1, "its those kinds of 'self-congratulatory' threads that annoy the crap out of posters...and if you do it enough, i can understand why you got the boot!". http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfor...cons/icon6.gif
