I knew I should have refrained from trying to post a somewhat serious thread.
I love music too, but come on.
It would be so much worse to not be able to see. No TV, internet, ckecking out girls, sports...etc.
Id lose my hearing first any day and its not even close.

Then you wouldn't have a big electric bill. And you could screw ugly chicks and not care. Poor Bilbo has to do that with his sight intact. Not being able to watch boxing would suck.

O.k. Wes, calm down, it was just a question. No one is going to take your porn away![]()

Bowling, hide and go seek, marco polo, karaoke, masturbate, eat, smoke, inject heroin, eat feces like plop, throw stuff and try to find it, ride a motorcycly{not for long though} go fishing{kind of} pick your nose.
I guess all you pricks are right; I think I'd rather be deaf. I was just kiddingF#ck music.
Here's a thought. Let's wait until a blind or deaf person comes in here and responds. Whichever one does first...wins!

I think being born with no arms would be the worst torture for me
Damn not being able to here my rap music would suck so much ass. but i would rather keep my sight i must check out fine chickenheads and watch sports n shit. We must all thank GOD that he gave us both.
Not an easy question. But I think a person fares far easier in the world without hearing, compared to blindness. But who's to say really...mile in each's shoes could only give the proper answer.
I think for me I'd go with losing hearing. I know some hearing impaired people, and they seem to manage ok. Plus, my own hearing is suspect. I've had problems since birth, and have had several surgeries early in life...tonsils, tubes, adanoids etc.
Overall my hearing is quite good now though, but I am prone to frequent infections and need to be careful with certain things. Don't imagine I'll be losing it any time shortly. Also, for the record, tubes in ear drums are now getting frowned upon in medical circles. My specialist doctor for my ears says I likely should never have had that procedure, as with most people who did...but surgeons just didn't know the possible repercussions that time and large sample studies have found.
So anyway. Official answer. Rather be deaf.
I think I would go genuinely crazy if I lost the ability to hear. Really, I would. Deafening silence would just be to much for me to overcome.
Still, I would take my chances with losing my hearing. If I lost my sight then literally all the enjoyment in my life will be ripped out from underneath me. That would really, really suck. No sports, boxing, reading and I definitely wouldn't be able to eat in the company of people as I barely can now with all the sounds of chewing. With that sound amplified, I would just turn into a blind recluse.
So sight, it would be sight that I keep.
Well it would be very tough to lose sight; as I read alot and have a virtual library in my house.
But still, for me, I love the dark, my house is like a tomb I keep it so dark, and I only really go out at night{yes Bilbo, to rob graves}, so I think for me I could cope better without sight. To each their own.
If I couldn't hear anything I really do think I'd go crazy though. But if I lost my sight, I guess it would suck just as bad cause I wouldn't be able to talk to any of you fools.
I think I'd just end it if I was slowly going both blind and deaf, that would be just too much.
I would go with keeping sight over hearing. Not having music would suck but I could deal with not being able to hear people as a lot of time I just want them to shut up. That would suck but I could deal with it.
I could deal with one or the other though if I really had too. If I went blind I'd just listen to music, read with braille, and talk to people. If I went deaf I'd watch TV and movies, read normally, use the computer, look at people, and talk to people through sign language.
Its strange that I've actually given this a lot of thought. For some reason I've always had a kind of irrational fear of going deaf and blind.
