This is the stupid way of boxing right now..... It's either prime fighters avoiding each other month after month, year after year because the money isn't there, or it's big power/money hungry fights being thrown together, with little regard for whether fans even want the fight...

Manny's got fans all over the world.. And even though most of them are giving him a shot (hell, they'd give him a shot against a Tyson comeback), VERY few of them really want this fight. Or see it as the best step for Manny..... The only sense of it is to throw him in for the money and the fame of going against a much bigger opponent who happens to be an all time great...

In that respect, it is a freak show... There are much better ways I feel of managing Manny's career where he can still go down as one of the best...

Will there big gamble pay off Part of me hopes not, to show the power hungry fools behind this out of control speeding race car, that some sense is needed, even in this crazy high tech world of today where it seems like anything is possible,,,, as long as there is enough money involved....

People wanna make there money let them its their ass on the line. But, they should at least say I'm fighting him to make the most moeny available. In the case of oscar well thats clearly obvious, fighting the much smaller man who happens to be a very popular fighter. But for PAc he and Roach are saying its not just about the money that oscars a legend he wants to go down in history as the greatest asian/boxer of all time...you wanna go down in history Then fight Cotto or Margarito that way you can go down in history as the dumb flip who thought he walked on water and died in the ring from a jab from Margo or a hook to the body from Cotto.

Just be honest is all im saying...oh and my girlfriend's a Pinay, just a joke abou the flip comment, I love Manny I will miss him when he dies.

Wow, reflection comes in odd places. I cant believe Im having an epiphany on a boxing forum.

I cant believe my post here. I'm actually very embarrassed by it, not because Manny beat up everyone I mentioned but because of the racial slur I used to describe him. I've read some of my past posts before and I can see why I didn't get along with a lot posters on here. I was a straight dickhead and this post really showcases that to myself.

My apologies to anyone I may have offended back in the day.

As a barometer for comparison, when I was a young dude, we had the Great fighters of the early 1980s. I think Pacquiao's the Greatest fighter of the past 25 years.
Circa mid 2008-2010, that dude was in The Zone. Phenomenal run.

But even before that unbelievable period, he had already done enough circa 2003-early 2008 to earn a place in the Hall-of-Fame with the 3 Erik Morales fights, the 2 Barrera fights, and the first 2 Marquez fights.

I also noticed that i wrote Pac off in this fight too, and wrote him off after Jmm kayoed him. Made me wonder he might just get his revenge vs Bradley and hey maybe even give Mayweather the toughest fight of his life. When all is said and done Pac will be remembered as the most exciting price fighter of all time and the most humble too.

As weak as ODH was, Manny was on fire and went on a great run of victories beating quality fighter after quality fighter. Floyd definitely got intimidated by it.
