    Hopkins resume is overated.

His 3 best wins are over fighters much smaller....Tarver was a good legit win though.

That still doesn't get away from the fact that 3 of his best wins have came against fighters much smaller.

The name are nice to have but they are not GREAT wins.

i will agree with you to a point...

BUT there realy isnt a fighter outside heavy wou could stay in a devision to dominate it and had a great win record...

Sure i think hopkins should of left middle after he beat tito to fight names, as the devision was dead... and i will always hold that against him when i think about where he lays in all time, personaly i think he stayed there knowing it was dead and he had it easy...

but a fighter does have the right to stay and set records in the weight the rule in...

i argue with my self over this topic lol

From what I remember there wasn't much happening in the Divs infront of him, apart from RJJ,as much as B Hop called him out,and for all the live link ups they did between the 2 on HBO or whatever it was,the fight never came off.All the name fighters were in the Divs below,I cant really begrudge him staying at MW.

Ok then fair enough but who are the biggest Ws on Haglers list? Duran and Hearns IMO and neither were natural Middleweights.

Ok, to those people who say his best wins are against guys much smaller: GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BOOTY.

Trinidad was coming off of a TOTAL DESTRUCTION of a huge Middleweight in William Joppy before fighting Bhop, so for those of you who say he was no threat you know NOTHING about boxing.

Bernard Hopkins is an absolute SCIENTIST in the ring. He's not the most exciting fighter but "exciting" and "great fighter" do not mean the same thing. He knew every trick in the book and he is one of the hardest guys to fight in boxing history because he takes guys out of their game and drags them into deep water. IMO the #3 MW of all time behind Hagler and Monzon (and YES, ahead of SRR who was better at WW)

Wait,he beat, not just beat, whupped Antonio Tarver when nobody thought he could
He whupped Tito Trinidad at the very top of his game, when noone thought he could, and remember Tito wasnt that undersized,he did have a piece of the belt coming in
He whupped all three of the middle weight champions

Tarvers got nothing to do with his 160 run.

Tito was also bulied and schooled by Winky at 160...He was NOT a 160 guy, his natural weights were 147/154. Winning a title against a lesser fighter at a higher weight does not mean shit. My boy Hatton done the same at 147 but we all know he's not a 147 guy.

William Joppy was built like Kenny Norton at Middleweight, he was strong as hell and could hit like a mule. So for Trinidad to take him out so easily definatly meant something. NO ONE ever did that to William Joppy and no one has since. Bute put a beating on him and dominated him but it was no where near as destructive.
