    Default Rankings Injustice

    ... ...

Currently, all four major sanctioning bodies – the WBA, WBC, WBO and the IBF – use the same rule, that if a fighter holds a belt in another organization, he isn’t ranked in theirs.

The only exception is when a fighter wins a unification bout and holds two or more of the alphabet belts.

It’s ridiculous, isn’t it, that Manny Pacquiao isn’t ranked at lightweight by either the WBA, WBO or IBF when he’s the pound-for-pound king in most rankings (Yahoo! Sports, ESPN.com, Ring Magazine)?

For any organization’s rankings to mean anything, they have to rank all the fighters in a given class, even if they wear belts from other sanctioning groups.

Rankings: How to improve sanctioning bodies

    1. Rank other organizations’ champions

    2. Hold quarterly conference calls amongst each other to discuss rankings

    3. Don’t strip so easily

    4. Trim the sanction fees

    5. Respect the authority of the presiding jurisdiction

Its so simple! The Ring belt is the hardest to earn & they freely admit their system is not perfect but its the best alternative to the chaos that is the alphabet idiots!!!

The problem with rule number 1 is that there are to many organizations. Who gives a fukk about the WBO, IBO, WBU and other crap title holders?

It has gotten ridiculous with the belts. I think we should pool some money, produce some belts, and gives ourselves a name like the World Boxing Bureau (WBB). I bet there would be a line to claim one!
