True but when has Joe Calzaghe been interested in fighting the best possible competition

say what you want... but how about this... when hasn't calzaghe built a fight up to have the entire boxing world ready to cut off their left nut to see it happen?

if pavlik beats hopkins the fight will happen and it will be one of the biggest fights in the last 10 years without question...

Look at Joe vs kessler... to non american contenent fighters who had any half decent american fight fan talking about it non stop... fight could of gone ahead right after lacy, would of been ok, but after Joe won it would of been billed as another win agasint another over hyped EU fighter... Joe may say some silly things and contredicted him self in interviews, but he makes his fights as anticipated more than oscar
