At first look the only choice that would seem to make sense would be oscar....but it's weird how confident roach is in pac beating him, almost like he saw something in training oscar that pac can easily take advantage of....i just don't see it myself but i like longshots. If it were my money i'd put it on oscar, if it were someone else's i'd take the strech and put it on pac.

DLH should be ashamed of himself....Baiting a guy who has only recently jumped to 135 to skip another 2 weight classes to fight him so he can say he fought the #1P4P fighter...Bit of a catch 22 no?

11 parts scumbag, 11 parts sham.....

I hope Manny is waaaayyyy too fast for him and makes DLH look silly, it would be crazy to tery and trade too much size difference....

Is it just me or does anyone else believe Margarito could have made time for a DLH bout if Oscar was so set on fighting at 147.....

As my Grandmother used to say actions speak louder then words......DLH just told the world he did not want another ass kicking on his resume so he found the smallest guy with the best resume possible.....

I hope he realizes even with the weight jump Manny hits harder then Forbes

If ODLH fought Margarito and/or Cotto, people would still be complaining for one reason or the other. And if he beat one of them or both, oh my goodness! Imagine how sour this place would be.

The only ass kicking I remember was when he was brave enough to go up and fight Hopkins, loosing by KO. Other than that, I don't remember seeing a fight where he was about to be saved by his corner or something to say that he doesn't want ANOTHER ass kicking. If people are comparing PAC with Forbes (punching power, speed, experience, etc.) and seeing PAC as a better fighter then the fight shouldn't be thaaaaaaaat bad after all, huh?

People would be complaining about him fighting Marg or Cotto? I don't think so. WHy would they complain about him fighting the #1 WW in the world as opposed to fighting someone who belongs no where NEAR WW?

Believe me, people would still complain for one reason or the other. I go back to the Forbes fight when it was being talked about "Oh my gawd, ODLH is terrible! Who in their right mind would pay for that fight?! This is insane!" and then it was announced the fight would be FREE and tickets for the stadium would be cheap and what happened?...PEOPLE STILL CRIED ABOUT IT!
There's a boxer or two that I dislike, for example, Floyd Mayweather Jr. I can't stand him! But that doesn't blind me from seeing how GREAT of a boxer he is. Also, I like ODLH but that doesn't blind me from seeing how he's passed his prime and has shown certain weaknesses/flaws in his last years of boxing.

People complained about the Forbes fight because he was a virtual unknown who had no power and wasn't really given a chance of winning. If he fought Cotto or Marg I very much doubt people would have anything to complain about.

I guess I'm in the majority (76% so far). I voted Oscar.

    I believe Oscar will win.
    But I.....

    WANT

    ....Pac to win.

I see a similar scenario . I duno if Pac will be leading but he will certainly be in the fight darting in and out. His speed will help him be elusive early on and his footwork will make the older man look slower but when the pace settles and natural size and strength starts to take its toll , thats when I think Oscar will get him . It may be abit like the Oscar - Hopkins fight . Ive seen Pac decked from body shots before and I think in about 8 or 9 rounds De La Hoya will find a left hook to the body

Pacs enthusiasm will be leaving him at this point when he realises the size of the task and a body shot will give him the excuse he needs to sit it out .

I agree with everything said here.

Pac started at 106 and Oscar won a title as high as 160. Pac started the year at 130 and will end the year fighting at 147?!?! Those numbers are just way too big of an advantage for Oscar.

Oscar has a height and reach advantage. Not to mention his boxing skills are superior to Manny's. Pacquiao would have to have an edge in power but he doesn't have that against Oscar. It took Manny 9 rounds to knockout a 135 pound fighter who he hit with everything he had and any point he wanted to. How much would it take to hurt Oscar who's been hit by Middleweights?! This means Manny will have to rely on speed and speed alone.

I posted this on another thread but I think it will also work for this one as well.
