    Valuev won a SD

It was probably better tha I thought it would be , better to watch that Klitschkos last couple of fights but still far from entertaining though .

Ruiz should have been credited for a knockdown in round 2 . First time Ive seen the big man shaken . After that Valuevs jab did the work him . Ruiz' right hand was the danger. Then it dragged on and I could take no more round about the 8th . Commentary had Valuev up by a fair bit but the judges thought it was close. I didnt keep score after the 5th cuz i started browsing the net instead .

Lot of the rounds were the same, so if you scored one for one guy, you'd pretty much have to give himanother 7, so I can see how it went to a SD.

I actually found it moderately entertaining, like Game said Wlad's had duller fights recently.

If that's the first time you've seen Valuev shaken then you haven't seen enough of him. Bidenko shook him, Monte Barrett rocked him as well, first punch of the fight

I wonder who Valuev will fight next assuming Chagaev needs a warm up fight to get back in the swing of things.

Looking at the WBA rankings I can just say this....whoever is in charge over there is a moron!

Here's your WBA rankings in order (this of course before the fight tonight but still it's insane):
Valuev (interm champ or whatever they call him)
Chagaev (emeritus champ or whatever his title is)
    John Ruiz
Kali Meehan - Last fought in August vs Dominique Alexander won by TKO 2
Taras Bidenko - Last fought in May vs Michael Sprott won by UD
Alexander Dimitrenko - Last fought in May vs Derrick Rossy won by TKO 5
Andrew Golota - Last fought in January vs Mike Mollo, won by UD
Kevin Johnson - Last fought in April vs Terry Smith won by UD
Sergei Liakhovich - Last fought in February vs Valuev lost by UD
JD Chapman - Last fought February vs Rich Boruff won KO 2
Carl Davis Drummond - Last fought June vs Alejandro Alverez won by KO 1
Cris Arreola - Last fought in June vs Chazz Witherspoon won by DQ 3
Sinan Samil Sam - Last fought July vs Paulo Vidoz won PTS
Denis Bakhtov - Last fought May vs Juho Haapoja won KO 10
Davaryll Williamson - Last fought October 2007 vs Kali Meehan lost RTD 6
Brian Minto - Last fought in July vs John Poore won by KO 1

What a list of SHIT fighters

Emiritus means he's on an injury leave and will have to take a mandatory when he's healthy again,at least thats why they usually give it

Valuev deserved the decision and I would love to see him with Wlad soon.

The rest of the card was rubbish but it was free and watched it all.

Reading that list could make the most optimistic boxing fan cry with depression. It's a novelty to watch him fight, but to be champ it's quite embarasing for the sport. Easy to hit and anyone with good power should be able to floor him, and once would be enough as he ain't getting up in 10 seconds with that frame.

Just shows you how much the WBA has fallen off, it used to be the WBO was corrupt and had horrible fighters in it's top rankings.

So if Ruiz, Barrett and Bidenko shook him, do we have reason to believe Klitschko wouldn't be able to do better? Stronger and more athletic than Ruiz and Barrett (never saw Bidenko before) and big enough to keep Valuev from leaning on him like he did Barrett. I don't know offhand where he is in the rankings, but hey, Klitschko wants to collect all the titles and that's a really good place to start.
    Oops

The Valuev fan who posted this thinks this means Nico can take a solid punch but Bidenko was 3-0-0 at that time AND right now he's got 26 wins and 12 KO's .....that's weak.

I think Wlad would KO Valuev and I think Manny would have Wlad firing power punches from the get go.

There is NO doubt in my mind Valuev would buckle with the first right cross or left hook he took
