The Blair Witch Project - I saw this movie the first day it opened up in theatres and didn't know that it was actors in the movie I thought they just found someones homemade video and made it into a movie. After finding out that it was a actually actors playing roles it wasn't as scary as I thought before.

The Strangers - I just saw this one a few months ago in the theatre it was actually kinda scary because shit like that could really happen.

yeah i heard abt Blair Witch as in people thought it was real, by the time i saw it i had heard it was just a movie with actors in, but if i had gone into the cinema unaware like yourself i think i would of died of a heart attack.

Can not think of any movie to date, that has scared me.

Will name a few that have not been mentioned so far.

    The Dark Half

    Cujo

    Invasion of the Body Snatchers

    The Fog (old and new)
Hidden Content Boot Hill, Where the Real Fights Are Fought.

Part of what made Blair Witch scary as hell, any body who went to college or knew a film student has been subjected to student films. It looks exactly like one.
My wife is a professional boxer,at the end of it she said,"That movie scared the s out of me"
This is a woman who can get geeked to come down the ramp of a sizable stadium to hit people and get hit by them

No. The plot of the movie is based on a real individual named Ed Gein. The movie Psycho, Deranged and Three On A Meathook are all based on Gein.
