It's not totally beyond him to be honest. Now the dust has settled i'm sure he has the ability to beat him....just depends how smart he fights.

He gets a hard time on here and i'm not totally sure why. I don't think he behaves any differently from most fighters

My gripe with him was the fact it was on ppv and he should realise he's not at that level yet. But fair is fair, respect to him if he gets back in the ring with Prescott after what he did to him.

Wonder what the reaction would be to somebody like Pac wanting to get straight back in with somebody who brutally ko'd him....

    something along the lines of....

'he's such a warrior blah de blah'

Never understood how people hate him yet they can tolerate guys like Witter and Malignaggi.

He took his loss like a man and he believes in himself. Had that been me, I would have been depressed for months on end and I might have even retired, he looks and sounds kool as a cucumber, this will be a very useful learning experience for him. Hopefully from all of this, we see a new Khan emerge. I don't think he will come out running from his corner from round one like he did the other night. He is going to have to learn to be more patient and he is going to have to learn how to either move when hurt, hug, spit out his mouth piece or take that knee. You don't get buckled the way he got buckled and try to trade with your opponent. Has to be a very hard lesson to learn but I think he will get it right this time and I think he got the point.
However, I did notice that it was a shot to the body that opened Khan up and left him a little vulnerable upstairs. Either Khan is also soft downstairs, or Prescott really does hit that damn hard. I don't know which is to be the truth? Maybe a little bit of both?

I don't see any way back for Con. Con is huge for his weight. He's a big ass Lightweight. There's no way he can stay at that weight much longer. He's going to have to move up. And that's not a good thing for him. His chin can't take punches from 130 and 135 ponders. At a higher weight he's in serious danger

I think the struggle to make 135 is taking away whatever punch resistance he has. Moving up to 140 might give him slightly more (than currently zero) ability to take a punch but he'd be getting hit harder -- there's a reason he's at 135, he tried 140 and didn't like it. Either way he's fucked, let's face it.

To be honest i thought he's always looked a little bit vulnerable.

As for Saturday, he just didn't look right. The interview when he was getting hands wrapped before the fight - he looked and sounded like absolute shit. Like he had cold or something. He just didn't come across how he normally does. He didn't even look remotely confident.

He needs a great defensive coach to be honest. I still think he can be a world champion. Hell if Alex Arthur is good enough and Nicky Cook is good enough, so is Khan. Just depends on which champion he ends up fighting.

The reason people are glad he lost is that he is one big hype machine designed only to make as much money as possible. Sure he has talent, but even his own promoter hasn't truly believed the hype for some time or the opposition would have been upped a long time ago.

The days when amateur boxing actually resembled the proffessional game are long gone. Degale will do well to take in what's happened to Amir, he says he won't look at a contract for less than a million, if a promoter pays that much he'll expect the fighter to be headlining shows while learning the game. They should be fighting often at the start of their careers to gain real EXPERIENCE.

From the interviews sounds like Khan has learned jack shit, still believes he's 12 months from a world title shot.

I agree with this. I don't know that much about Khan, but I've never seen him say anything terribly outlandish that would justify the vitriol directed at him.
Maybe it's more a reflection about the way people feel towards Warren?

Yeah I think it's partly Warren but mainly a reaction to all the press coverage he has had. He was hailed a hero before he even turned pro and the public don't like to fed a load of hype.

It's a shame as despite what the haters say about him he IS talented, he IS incredibly exciting to watch and he IS a decent role model for young kids, a natural in front of the camera, well spoken and respectful, but confident of his ability.

He speaks no more highly of himself than does Calzaghe, Hatton, Froch, Witter etc, the only difference is that he gets more media attention over here than all of them and has achieved less than any of them so the public don't like to hear it.

Maybe this will mean a more low key comeback and a slower rate of progression which will be good for Khan.

I disagree with a lot of people about how carefully he has been managed though.

Guys like Limmond, Lawton, Gomez, Earl have all been at the top of the domestic level and St Claire had won a lightweight title belt and gone the distance with Diego Coralles.

Julio Caesar Chavez hasn't fought anyone of the calibre of even Earl, St Claire or Gomez yet and he doesn't get anything like the stick Khan gets.

He's still only 21 and has time on his side.

I still believe he'll win world titles, he just needs to make sure he picks the right 'champion' to fight.

I'm not so sure he is cocky. He's confident. If he believes he'd beat Mayweather in a 4 round fight then fair play to him. He wouldn't....but still. He has belief like every other fighter. You can't dislike him for being cocky when Mayweather is one of your favourite fighters surely?

As for Witter there were shit loads of Witter fan boys on here before he got his arse handed to him by Bradley.

I don't really like Floyd Mayweather's attitude outside the ring but i know its all BS because he always give his opponents respect after the fight but im more a fan of skills than personality Ono.........

I understand about being confident im always confident before i fight but i don't have to shout about it and let everyone know i just keep it inside but thats just my opinion everyone is different Ono.
