Default Pac V JMM 3, who really wants it?

It would be an entertaining fight I'm sure. but IMO rather predictable close fight which won't really answer any questions.

There are so many other opponents for both guys at Lightweight, maybe even LWW for Pac after DLH I just think it can wait to be a gurdge match to sign off both guys careers in a couple years.

Why would it be a grudge match? Thats when series is 1-1. The first was a draw, and Pacquaio won a close second fight, but Pacquaio has no reason to fight Marquez again, I don't think going back down to LW right after fighting at 147 would be a smart move.

It's kind of my opinion as well, just seen a lot of articles suggesting it HAS to happen. I don't see the outcome being any different, and with so many other fights. I think JMM should just fight all the top LWs, and if he comes through OK, THEN chase Pac.

PAC-JMM 3 will only materialized if PAC get sparked by Oscar (which I don't think will happen). PAC-JMM 3 will still be a good fight and I have no complains about it except that PAC already have this in the bag with 1-0-1 record...

But if PAC looks good against Oscar his priorities will be Hatton and PBF not JMM before he retires at the end of 2009...

Well i thought Juan Manuel Marquez won both fights there is for certain unfinished business there.

ASAP and their scores should be back to ZERO. Then we can have another Trilogy. The two is really exciting to watch and they deserve to fight again and again.

I want to see them fight again. Ironically I wouldn't have been over interested had they both stayed at superfeatherweight but considering how explosive their debuts were I'd love to see them go once more at 135 lbs.

I want Pacquiao to fight De La Hoya first. I know most think it's a mismatch but whilst Oscar has every advantage he's not a particularly physical fighter and I don't see Manny being overly troubled or knocked out as others do. It will be a close competitive event.

More importantly though fighting Oscar would be a massive event and a huge world wide recognition boost for Paquaiao. It will make him a household name and imo he deserves that fame and deserves that payday.

So I look forward to the Oscar fight. Afterwards, well I'd love to see Manny in with so many fighters. If he looks good against Oscar than I'd love to see him in with Ricky Hatton which I feel would be a great fight, plus Juan Diaz, Nate Campbell and maybe even Edwin Valero.

He is spoilt for choice as regards opponents. However I don't think any impartial fan feels his business with Marquez has concluded and there are thousands of fans and experts alike who feel Marquez could have won both fights so I really want them both to fight again.

It's a weird one because I really want to see Manny against Oscar, Hatton, Valero, Juan Diaz etc, but he also needs to fight Marquez again imo.

I think the best scenario would be as follows. Manny fights Oscar, losing by decision in a close and competitive fight, in a loss that does nothing to damage his legacy or status considering the size advantage of Oscar.

Marquez fights and beats Nate Campbell (tough ask) and sets himself up as undisputedly the man at lightweight.

Manny then takes either Marquez or Hatton (providing he beats Paulie).

If he comes through that then he fights Marquez for a third time.

The more I think about the less likely it seems like it will happen though, a lot of if's and but's.

but I'd like to see it and feel Marquez deserves another shot.

Hope people will not claim again that Marquez is too old and that Pacquaio will be fighting an old Marquez.

I hope those people who said that Pacquaio had fought an old Marquez will retract what they have said.

As true boxing fans, we should give respect to what these fighters are doing. Saying that marquez is too old to fight pac is really being disrespectful to Marquez and Pac.

i would agree with taeth on this one. after 147 manny could move down to 140.too much weight loss will make him do a joan guzman. 135 is way too soon if he indeed decides to take jmm's offer after odlh. we will see what happens in december and we will conclude whether or not pac belongs in WW.

After thinking some more, ideally it would be better if Paulie beat Hatton to get him out of the equation, in a really really dull affair as well just in case someon entertains the thought of wasting 6 months of Pacs career on Paulie.

Sooooooo many fights for him. If JMM coud fight Campbell and beat him, then the 3rd fight would lead off naturally and could be billed as a myhtical p4p fight to be no.1, especially if Pac puts up a good showing against ODLH.

What happens thought if the fight does happen and Marquez wins , they will be level with each other, surely not a 4th ??

I would like Pacquiao to fight Campbell and get those titles and Marquez to face Juan Diaz. If both win those bouts they can have a super unification match. It would be great and if Marquez wins the third we can have a 4th fight.

I think Marquez already beat him twice but they were great fights so wont complain if they fight again.

Clearly though with Pac's current schedule it isn't gonna happen for a while - if at all. And that's not so bad with so many great match-ups at 135 to be made.
