I have no clue about American football but if what you are on about is Mike being a slow runner, im pretty sure he would be a very explosive sprinter, he has massive thighs, he has a typical sprinter type body, all the movements he made while boxing in his early twenties were quick, im sure his legs would be also.

Ok, my appologise but fact is that Tyson would have probably been a great linebacker...(if you don't know what that is it's a defensive player that is normally pretty wide but muscular and quick to chase down the ball)

Here's what Ray Lewis looks like.

Come on now Pride your insulting my intelligance I understand but I bet you Ray Lewis can't fight worth a damn. The point I was trying to make I don't see a fighter like Ray Robinson doing anything but boxing.

Pride was replying to me, I think.

Sugar Ray Robinson, one of the most co ordinated and driven athletes who was also a boxer so had agression and no fear, you dont see this man doing well in any sport.

Boxers are men who are driven by desire, boxing is the hardest of sports, if someone can be successfull as a boxer, I believe its not beyond them to have the same success in anything else they had chosen to

Agreed... I give the utmost respect to someone who throws the gloves on but not the same respect to someone who tosses a pair of pads on.

    Well said, ross.

Ok this Ray Lewis looks impressive but what the hell has he got to do with boxing? The whole WWE roster LOOK impressive but I remember Butterbean (of all people) knocking the shit out of them a few years back! And there is no way you can say these punches are fake!

What does it have to do with boxing?...

    I'll paste my prior post...

Geezus... Yeah cuz Americans don't know our Heavywieghts suck. Football and Basketball in the states ruined any HW crop that could have come up.

Why would we be bitter that you had the best HW of recent times? That statment is rediculous. Wow, yeah, I'm pissed I'm also pissed at the Ukraine for having Wlad. I bet that the UK is bitter we've dominated the MW div for so long You guys could care less as could we...

Sure the US would like some decent HW blood but we just don't have it... They're to busy making Millions per year catching a ball.

As for your statement that we're waiting to see Haye stumble... You're damn straight! It has nothing to do with being bitter but he's all mouth... I want Wlad! I'm gonna find him in a mall and talk shit... Wlad laughed at him. Now he's dropping fights with 3rd tier comp so he doesn't get KOd on his first outing cuz that would be......... unfortunate

I agree with him taking C or B level comp to begin with to test the waters but don't call yourself the best HW out there and look for C level guys... Shut your friggin mouth... Take a few gimmes at HW and when you crack the top 5 then open it.

I'd be the first "I told you so" you'd hear.

If he kept his mouth on lock he'd be fine... Promote the fight once it's signed, moron not before... You're not PBF who comanded the sport.

The hate brigade is one he set up... with his mouth.

I can't wait to see him get KOd by Jameel McCline or somebody... I'll laugh my ass off

So was there no other sports around in the days of George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Larry Holmes, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis then?

We are just having a bad patch in the HW division. Its not other sports faults, we had a similar problem in the 80s (maybe not as bad). I guarantee when one good American heavy comes along others will follow, its just the way things happen.

Not that paid as much as the HW champ and it was in such a spotlight that they were bigger then any one athlete on a team sport...

Guys weren't getting 100 mil for a 5 yr contract...

Boxing was more lucrative then Basketball and football.

Hey, if you desperately wanted out of the ghetto and had nothing but your hands and feet to carry you out and there's no such thing as the NFL, NBA or MLB you might have gone into pro boxing.

That's why forums are great... We discuss and see each others views are you see mine, I see yours... We may not totally agree but we can see why the other sees the way they do...

    Good discussion!
