Winky Wright he is known for his wins over Shane Mosley who fought him at 154 which was 19 pounds over his prime weight. He win over Trinadad who was already destroyed by Hopkins and it was 13 pounds over his prime weight. Then he lost to Vargas was close but i thoughtVargas did enough for the win but his fans complain and he draws with Taylor which was close and he gave up rounds as well so his fault and his fans complain. To me his record does not speak to me as pound for pound he never won a title over 154 and he still ranked so highly by some people i dont get it at all i think that he gets to much credit for his wins over past prime fighters.

Anyone want to try to break the great Sugar Ray Robinson record down.
I don't think you can knock his record. He only has so many defeats because he had to keep fighting way past his prime for financial reasons. Its a shame he isn't around today. With all the money thats flying around he would probably be able to retire undefeated his skills were so great. Although Margarito kind of reminds me a bit of Lamotta so if he was given about 6 attempts he might eventually get a result.
Can't really criticize his resume and who he fought, but if you want, you can knock him for things like not fighting some of the top black fighters like Charley Burley and Kid Cocoa.
"I'm too pretty to fight Burley", said Ray. He also priced himself out of a Burley fight, doubling his asking price from $25k to $50k.
He also had some decisions go his way that are considered controversial, or were widely booed when they were announced.
It's a tough one to knock, much harder to nitpick and criticize than almost any other fighter ever.

Well the only thing i can say is that some people overrate Sugar Ray Robinson as a Middle weight the reason being is that people have him at 1. But looking at his record at the weight he should not get it i think that Carlos Monzon is the best MW champion i think his record speaks for it self but thats just me.
