If Fraud beats him it would be no big deal. If Pascal beats Fraud it would be no big deal either. But fighters are overrated.
But in 2009 Carl will be fighting these high profiled fighters. Jean Pascal is the start of good things to come. Carl isnt a Fraud, its just your arragonce towards British fighters that makes you believe he is. But hes going to be world champion on 6th Dec and going to be the man to be at 168!
Didn't you (and your present sig) say the same thing about 2008?

Wasn't the same crap coming out of his mouth in 2007, 2006?

IMO he's happy with his comp so far as it can leave him happy in coocoo land where the reality of his limitations hasn't hit him yet. He's a decent fighter, but is not genuine world class.
but if you followed carl froch you would realise that Dennis Inkin pulled out, TWICE ! and there was a lot of waiting for who was going to fight him for the vacant belt. It was either Jermain Taylor or Jean Pascal and it took a while for the WBC to sort that out. Either way, hes got the shot and he has been delayed but its not his fault.

That's his excuse for 2008, which is fair enough, but he's talking crap for a long time and his opposition simply doesn't warrant it.

Hopefully we'll find out soon enough, if he's remotely world class he should batter Pascal, so with a belt he may be able to persuade better opposition to the table. I think Kessler could be a possibility for a unification, but he'll have trouble persuading Taylor to come over, especially for a challengers purse.

Well the WBC's top 10 is filled with exciting fighters so if carl does win he will be more than likely to fight a good next fighter as well. But Kessler-Froch WILL happen if they both keep winning.

Red face Re: Froch-Pascal Set !!!! Dec 6th

Ross obviously has issues with the cobra, i mean what other human being would trawl teh internet trashing froch's name at every opportunity. I mean i remember him writing how Robin Reid had 12 weeks to prepare for Froch and that he would end the Cobra's career. . that he had a dodgy knee and overrated this and an overrated that..

Maybe he lives in the same caravan park as Reid and bet some moody jewlery and a dog on the Reid KO win and now resents the cobra for it.

Are we getting warm Ross ?

Pascal will start brightly and then will be stopped inside 8 rounds ...RSF8.

Yes I have to admit, I am a fan of Reid, which is why I didnt like Calzaghe, I also had a disdain for his win over Eubank, as I was a fan of his also.

Calzaghe, I thought, was an arrogant twaat with no substance but he went on to prove me wrong and gain my respect, especially with the performance over Kessler, no one else will repeat that druybbing over Mikkel, at 35 years of age and reigning as longa s he had I thought Joe may be ripe for the picking but he looked as good as ever, showing every aspect of his game, the man is something special, to keep the performances up, I dont think hes unbeatable but he is bloody hard to beat, he doesnt fight as reckless as he did, so in that respect he has slowed but I see him at least giving trouble if not beating all the great super middles of the Nineties.

In fact as they were so fond of avoiding each other, id say they wouldnt want to go anywhere near him.

Back on track, Carl is 31 and yet to face a world ranked opponent, hes missed the boat here, the names I have already mentioned are leagues above him, they had faith in their ability and took their chances, Reid against Nardiello in his home country Italy which is notorious for bad decisions, Calzaghe was supposed to fight Collins for his chance but Eubank stepped in with a weeks notice and Joe still took it, both Eubank and Calzaghe took chances here.

Froch was offered a fight against Joe and used any excuse he could to pussy out, no matter what anyone says, he was offered the fight and he declined, what ever conditions doesnt matter, it was his big chance to get in the spotlight and do what he was promossing everyone for years "smoke Calzaghes boots" but he had no faith in his ability.

Now he is stepping up, in to his thirties, he may have left it too long, or mey well get away with this one seeing as his opponent is also untested and hasnt looked great.

Kessler would embarrass Froch, Joe made him run and cry in a corner so went for Kessler instead, that is a fighter, everyone is passing Froch by because he is unsure of himself, he gives all the big talk but at the end of the day he turned down a genuine offer to fight the best supermiddle in the world for the past 11 years on prime time tv
