Khan derailed – Echoes of the Prince ?

When Naz lost he was one of the biggest names in world boxing,won 3 or 4 world belts at featherweight,highest paid featherwight in the world,a proven mega star.


When Khan lost he was one the best lightweighs in Britain.



So no,there is no echoes of the Prince IMO.

Okay go back and read it again... the comparison I'm making is not as a fighter it's as a person.

Oh and Naseem could have could have achieved so much more had he not lost the plot, sacked his trainer and started to believe that he could walk through everyone. Hamed has a very good legacy but Legend - not IMO.

The difference is though Naz had already achieved EVERYTHING in world boxing - WBO, WBC, WBA, IBF champion and top P4P fighter.

Yes Naz lost the plot... and was probably an underachiever.

But Khan hasn't achieved ANYTHING.

I agree... Like I said I wasn't comparing their records I'm comparing the mistakes that Khan is making - they are the same ones that Naseem made. The difference is Khan is making them before he's even really got started.

Naseem did not achive everything in world boxing - he failed by his own standards by losing to MAB. A fight he could have won if it were not for the decisions he made outside of the ring

I was a big Naseem fan from his very early fights and maybe I'm being a little hard on him because I feel a little short changed... he did achieve a lot but could have achieved so much more.

He did give us some great fights - I went to a number of them including the one in Wales against Steve Robinson when Naz boxed an almost perfect fight.

I know what you are saying but for me he fell at the final hurdle to greatness when losing to MAB. Maybe I am being a little hard on him

I think the only comparison is that they both had similar incidents regarding cars other than that i see no comparison's at all.

U say your comparing nas and kahn as person's but i dont see any comparisons at all, nas was a cocky, flashy big mouth, whilst khan is more humble, down to earth fella. So your post doesnt even make sense.

The only reason the two are compared is because of thier skin color and religion as there is absalutly no other comparisons.

They both have completly different styles, body shapes and techniques, nas small, hard to hit, powerhouse whilst khan lanky, easy to hit with a poor chin.

on the money sides, nas was the type of person to rub his money in your face like mayweather and kahn dont think ive ever heard him talk about his money.

An acrimonious split with the trainer he started with. Driving like an idiot giving the impression he thinks the rules don't apply. Forgetting to use hi skills and trying to walk through his opponent. All similar mistakes to Naseem with the difference being Khan is making the mistakes early.

That was my point and if you don't agree I'm not about to lose sleep over it...
