    err.. what?
Mikkel Kessler can hit and this is probably the best puncher Calzaghe has fought but he isn't as dangerous as Pavlik in terms of power IMO, and he can't change a fight around with one punch like Pavlik can from what i've seen anyway. And Kessler only landed solid shots here and there other than that he got dominated.

Chris Eubank has got some good KO's under his belt but again look at his KO record, only average at best. Jeff Lacy had some good power but he didn't land a solid shot on Calzaghe...........

Then you have decent punchers like Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, etc. I would like to know who you really consider a real dangerous KO puncher out of Calzaghe's resume Fenster..........

Calzaghe has been decked by Mitchell, Salem, who aren't big punchers and they were both by single shots and they were both heavy knockdowns aswell i don't think Calzaghe has a granite chin by any means.
That's because after the Watson fight Eubank wouldn't even go for KO's (follow-up the attack, finish fighters when he hurt them).

All the guys you mentioned were hard punchers. You can go back through Calzaghe's 15 year career to find hard punchers.

I don't think Pavlik is a particularly devasting lights-out hitter either. If he stopped Calzaghe it would be after an accumulation as he wore the oldman down.

Questioning Calzaghe's chin is a bit silly. He was up instantly from all three knockdowns. Pavlik was bashed into a drunken mess by Taylor. Is Taylor a devastating, dynamite, dangerous puncher? Of course not. Any question marks you have over Calzaghe are doubled when aimed at Pavlik.

Listen Fenster it was not one punch that rocked Pavlik he got hit with like 40 something power punchs that round and still made it. To me that means the guy has to have chin or he would of been koed. Taylor has good power but look at the fighters he faced in his defenses they were great defensive fighters that are hard to ko i mean come on. To me it was more of a denfense issue then chin issue if you ask me but just a thought.

I'm not claiming Pavlik is chinny. He takes a decent shot.

But.. Taylor smashed him into a mess, Pavlik couldn't control his legs or anything...now, in 15 years as a pro, Calzaghe hasn't even come CLOSE to being STOPPED. So there's a far bigger question mark over Pavlik's chin than Calzaghe's. That's all.

I didn't question Joe Calzaghe's chin all i said is that i don't think he has a granite chin, nor do i think he has fought anyone with the power of Kelly Pavlik........

I don't think Kelly Pavlik has that great of a chin either but he has great recovery skills but all this wouldn't matter against Calzaghe, the real question is can Calzaghe's chin hold up to the constant right hands of Pavlik.

You believing Pavlik will beat Calzaghe is no different to the majority thinking Lacy and Kessler would destroy him. It's the same old story. They were going to exploit all his weaknesses too

Jeff Lacy struggled with mediocre fighters before his fight with Calzaghe, Kelly Pavlik is more proven and has beat good opponents to get where he is, we ain't talking Vanderpool, Sheika, old Reid, Fenster the garbage that Lacy beat.

Not everyone is as smart and shrewd as you, Ice. The majority thought Lacy was great.

Pavlik has two good wins over Taylor and a decent win over Miranda. Lets hope you don't fall into the trap of the Lacy lovers and OVERRATE him.. should he lose soon you might look silly

Eubank was never a devastating puncher. He started going the distance more often cuz his competition level had improved. Eubank used the Watson incident as an excuse for some of the gift wins he got. Eubank knows he should of lost to Malinga and Close. So he blamed it on him having problems stopping fighters since the Watson fight. It was a bullshiit excuse. Truth is Eubank was only a slightly better fighter than them. Look at his fight with John Jarvis. Did it look like he had problems stopping him? No. He threw his right with murderous intend. No hesitation. No thoughts of Watson dancing in his head. That's cuz Jarvis was a bum. No excuse was necessary.

Smash what has Calzaghe down to show he is way better then Pavlik i mean he in the eyes of alot of people lost to 43 year old Hopkins. Now i know Hopkins hard to look good against but come on if Pavlik does a better job on Hopkins then Calzaghe did then he has nothing then.

Calzaghe would get beat by Pavlik. End of. Calzaghe is so open to right hands and that's Kelly's biggest weapon. I also agree Joe is ducking him.

Joe is one contradicting twat two. Anyone remember he stated how Jones was washed up and his fight with Tito gives him no interset ? Yet he now goes onto fight Jones saying Roy Jones is not shot and how's he still got a lot left etc. Fukking Joe Calzaghe, I hope he gets his ass whooped by whoever. Nothing would give me more satisfaction than see him lose his undefeated record

Well at the least Calzaghe has proven himself more at a higher weight; where we are really just now going to see what Pavlik can do up there. Pavlik will have some problems with Hopkins and as much as I hate to say it. I think Calzaghe; as long as he doesn't get into a war on the ropes with Pavlik; will most likely beat Kelly.

Taylor gave Pavlik alot more trouble at not only the higher weight in the rematch, but by better movement and not getting caught on the ropes; but Joe won't gas like Taylor has a tendency to do. Also I think Joe takes a better shot than people think, and though Kessler isn't a mega puncher; he did pop Joe several times and Joe didn't seem fazed in the least if I remember right.

Pavlik throws more punches but until he gets an opponent hurt and to the ropes they are all straight punches and I just don't see Joe hanging around waiting to let them land. IF Pavlik hurts Calzaghe and gets him to the ropes Calzaghe better run; as Pavlik is the best finisher today IMO; and that's when he's the most dangerous. But I don't see Kelly wearing him down enough unless it's very late in the fight possibly; and in the last couple of rounds if Joe feels he has it I don't see him giving Kelly any unneccesary oppurtunities. Joe by decision as much as it would hurt me to see.

Alot depends on how or more importantly if Pavlik beats Hopkins; and does anyone know what weight kelly and Joe would fight at? Assuming LHW correct?

I think it was more of a body shot that hurt Taylor and made him slow down in the later rounds i think but i could be wrong. Calzaghe weakness is the right as you can see in the Reid fight so all i while say is this if Pavlik does a number on Hopkins i think he may as well beat Calzaghe. I think his jab and right are going to land and in the later rounds i think hey may drop maybe even stop Calzaghe remeber Legion he not getting any younger maybe Pavlik can make the man look old atleast i hope.
