And Kessler only landed solid shots here and there other than that he got dominated.

Chris Eubank has got some good KO's under his belt but again look at his KO record, only average at best. Jeff Lacy had some good power but he didn't land a solid shot on Calzaghe...........

Then you have decent punchers like Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, etc. I would like to know who you really consider a real dangerous KO puncher out of Calzaghe's resume Fenster..........

Calzaghe has been decked by Mitchell, Salem, who aren't big punchers and they were both by single shots and they were both heavy knockdowns aswell i don't think Calzaghe has a granite chin by any means.
That's because after the Watson fight Eubank wouldn't even go for KO's (follow-up the attack, finish fighters when he hurt them).

All the guys you mentioned were hard punchers. You can go back through Calzaghe's 15 year career to find hard punchers.

I don't think Pavlik is a particularly devasting lights-out hitter either. If he stopped Calzaghe it would be after an accumulation as he wore the oldman down.

Questioning Calzaghe's chin is a bit silly. He was up instantly from all three knockdowns. Pavlik was bashed into a drunken mess by Taylor. Is Taylor a devastating, dynamite, dangerous puncher? Of course not. Any question marks you have over Calzaghe are doubled when aimed at Pavlik.
I didn't question Joe Calzaghe's chin all i said is that i don't think he has a granite chin, nor do i think he has fought anyone with the power of Kelly Pavlik........

I don't think Kelly Pavlik has that great of a chin either but he has great recovery skills but all this wouldn't matter against Calzaghe, the real question is can Calzaghe's chin hold up to the constant right hands of Pavlik.
