Just look back on the thread and see who mentioned Pac first

Vincente Salvidar i really want to see i heard alot about him and Mick has said countless times he is really underrated. I've only seen highlights of him i don't know why there isn't even one fight of him.

Since all of those match ups are hypothetical, it makes sense to assess their capabilities with the way they have fought a common fighter. For me, the best way to compare Marquez, Barrera and Morales is to compare how they have performed against a fighter they have fought. Thus, the mention of Pacquaio's name. As to SAnchez, SAlvidar and past mexican fighters, we can all hypothesize. We will never be sure and will just start some debates that will never be answered.

For example, regarding Marquez vs Sanchez, since I am a fan of Marquez, I can simply say that Sanchez will not win against Marquez. Marquez is a sweet counter puncher and can easily recover even from super fast and hard punching Pac. As to Sanchez, he died early and was not really tested with all kinds of fighters. Had he not died, he could have fought Arguello who challenged him after his fight with Jorge Garcia. History would be written differently had the two fought.

A fan of Sanchez may therefore counter it by citing his fights with Gomez and Nelson.

The debate would go on and on and no one can really be sure of who is the better fighter and who will win against whom.

VD & Bruce. We're a tolerant site which is why I assume so many people want to play here and whilst I enjoy a good scrap as much as the next bird. It might help both of your cases if you didn't get so personal so quickly especially on the front pages?

    Just y'know a suggestion.

Salvador Sanchez dealt with a wide range of fighters. The awkward style of Pat Cowdell, power punching Wilfredo Gomez, high guard of Azumah Nelson, stick and move boxer Ruben Castillo, etc.

Sanchez resume despite dying at 23yo was fantastic.

How does Marquez stack up in your opinion ?
Erik Morrales would outbox him in a close fight.
Barrera in his prime would have out foughten Marquez
    Salvador would have beat him

Lopez would have outboxed him as well.
