    1. Arum
    2. GBP
    3. Don King.
    4. Gary Shaw
    5. Frank Warren
    6. that German promoter ( I need a name here)
    7. Goosen.
    8. Lou diabella
    9. Palle
    10. I would even put the ESPN boys on here, as they promote.

the only reason Don King is so low is because I was looking at a more recent look at it.......and he hasn't had much.

Why do people have Warren in the top 3 ? The only legitimate contests he has made is Calzaghe-Kessler and Macca-Haye. He badly protects his fighters.

I moved him down, but he is still huge. Almost every british star has been built up by him or fought his fighters.

Didn't he also make the Hatton-Kostzyu fight and Calzaghe-Lacy both were legit fights at the time

I put Arum in first because of his legendary fights in the past: Hagler—Hearns, ODLH, Hagler Duran, Holyfield Foreman, Erik Morales, Carbajal,

    Actually bringing ODLH to stardom.

For promoting four of the most coveted guys in boxing: Cotto, margarito, Pavlik, and Pacman (all not really old I might add).

And for saying that UFC is “a bunch of white guys that can’t compete in any other sport.”

Well boozeboxer, following your own reasonng, Don King should be at the top the list.

Do you want a list of top promoters by country? Or a just a list of the more popular ones?

Ahmet Oener does deserve a spot on the list (at the very least above Palle), but Wilfried Sauerland and Klaus Peter Kohl (Universum) are both above him in the German promoter world.

[If I'm wrong here, I'll expect Johnny to correct me ]

Seminole Warriors Boxing might deserve a mention too.

Has Don King done anything in the last 5 years at all?

The only fighters I can remember him promoting were Zab when he lost to Baldomir, Valuev when he lost to Chagaev and Briggs when he lost to Ibragimov.

Has he even had a winning fighter this millenium? Kings role as a significant promoter died along with the myth of the invincible Tyson.

Recently Don King has the habit of signing prospects only to put them on the shelf and only allow them to fight once a year.
