I had Barrera winning by a point. He would have won by more imo, but I had to score Nady's stupid call. Horrible call, pisses me off just thinking of that fight. MAB got hosed big time.

yea it was a great fight probably one of JMMs greatest besides the wars with pacman, but JMM won not too clearly but even if you watched the fight without scoring it you can tell JMM won. and also i dont go by ledermans score card even though he is accurate most of the time i just cant stand his voice, he just annoys me for some reason![]()
This was a great fight. I had Barrera winning a close fight. I clearly saw Barrera being the more comfortable and sharper fighter in the first half of the fight. Marquez picked it up in the second half. But...Barrera had the knockdown. As for Nady's bs decision of deducting the point...well some will argue Barrera was being dirty...but i saw it differently. The best thing about that knockdown was right before...Marquez had Marco on the brink of a knockdown himself...but Barrera being the great champion he is...found something deep down to counter and knock Marquez down. Great fight.
I think i had this fight a draw but i honestly can't remember, i haven't seen this fight in ages. But what i do remember is that Marquez's power punch stats were misleading.
Considering he had a massive 7th round where he landed about 30 more power punches and he dominated the round. Which is why Marquez landed 40 more power punches overall or whatever the total was.
I thought the fight was pretty even for most of the way and i think they were equal in most departments, there should have been a rematch but its too late now. Im big fan of both fighters so i didn't care who won, but the scorecards were ridiculous end of.

Same here . Barrera dominated the action early and Marquez' biggest mistake was trying to take Barrera out. I think he was just starting to get into the fight when he hurt Barrera then he tried to end it and walked onto a big punch . After that he was dazed for afew rounds but I think he finished stronger than Barrera . He had more in the tank at the end but on my scorecard Barrera was a 1 point winner. ( would have been larger if Nady didnt mess up in teh 6th )
Yeah whatever round it was when barrera had him down . What should have happend is Barrera knocks him down , ref calls it a knockdown and immediatley steps in . what happen is the ref did nothing Barrera threw another shot and it cost him a 10-8 round against him when it could have been 10-8 or 10-9 for him . Id have liked to have seen an immediate rematch but I think Barreras too old now . He was on his last legs then tbh .
Just rewatched it.
1 Barrera
2 Barrera
3 Marquez
4 Marquez
5 Marquez
6 Barerra
7 Marquez 10-8
8 Barrera
9 Barrera
10 Marquez
11 Marquez
12 Marquez
115-112 Juan Manuel Marquez
Great fight and as close as i remember and as good as i remember, but Marquez out fought Barrera in those last 3 rounds which gave him the edge. Even if the knockdown would of been scored in the 7th, i still would have only scored it 10-9 for Barrera, because it was such a one sided round for Marquez.
By the way there was no bias in my scoring im a massive fan of both fighters, so i wasn't favoring one fighter over another.
