na, Wlad doesn't live in his brothers shadow at all. He has made as much if not more money than vitali, and is as well known. To live in somebodys shadow, to me anyhow you would go about pretty much unknown because all the attention is on the other person, as is true for mathew hatton, bobby pac and a few others. this is in no way the case for Wlad.

Some one has already said Matthew Hatton

But I don't think Matthew's heart has ever truly been in boxing If Ricky wasn't a boxer Matthew would be a carpet fitter

He has had a nice little career and achieved more than most and more than he probably expected, so I don't think he lives in his shadow just firmly attached to Ricky's coat tails and happy to be there

Roger "The Dodger" Leonard,an AAU National Champion and 4x US Air Force Champion, retired as a pro after going 16-1. It was said that he had more gym wars than his brother and fought on Ray's undercards, but retired in 1982. He still is involved in boxing near the Baltimore area, but man he had some big shoes to "fill" even though he was the older brother of Sugar Ray Leonard.

I've heard many times trainers/coaches say that it's often the little brother that outshines the older one.

Bigboy Hogue and his brother Shorty were probably each others equal for a number of years (both winning national amateur titles), but Shorty started to meet and beat some of the bigger names in west coast boxing including: Archie Moore, Eddie Booker and LLoyd Marshall.

Eventually Shorty overshadowed his brother to such an extent that the green-eyed monster raised its ugly head and things turned nasty!
