Martinez looked pretty damn good, Angulo looked ok, and Gamboa has definently looked better.
Gamboa got hit too easy and got hurt at one point in the fight and I'm not talking about the elbow
Gamboa is great for boxing. Very exciting, that vulnerability he has along with how dangerous he can be offensively.
Well they were not the most competitive.Bunema really took some punishment.....His corner said it all in between ,"I don't want to keep seeing how tough you are,I want to see how good you are "![]()
What could Angulo do better to be more than an ok performance? He averaged 40 landed punches out of 120 thrown per round over 10 rounds.
He landed meaningful shots every single round. I know he wasn't in against a world beater, but Tsurkan is a tough mother. I was very impressed with the determination and workrate of Angulo. Martinez did have an amazing performance as well. I gotta agree with the Gamboa assessment, once he steps in with someone that can do any of the following he's gonna have real problems.
1) Someone that can fight going backwards.
2) Someone with more reach, high workrate and straight punches.
3) Someone that has quick head movement.
Based off of what I've seen in Gamboa's fights he's gonna struggle against those items.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Gamboa down...
