no, he's not ready for those guys, and likely never will be. he's too old. but with that said, i don't think that fight was indicative of his lack of skill or holes or whatever. Every guy to ever step into the octagon has been caught by a shot like that. 4 oz gloves will do that. they could fight 9 more times and kimbo could win every one. not WOULD win, but could.

fights like that are indicative of nothing. he got caught. big deal.

It's happened to better fighters then Kimbo. And this is what makes MMA so exciting. ANYTHING can happen.

That said I'd still like to see Kimbo fight Shamrock, but this fight if anything showed all the holes in his game he absolutely has to work on.

But preparing for a shoot fighter like Ken and then facing a Tae Kwon Do fighter, couldn't be more different the night and day. Made a rookie mistake of going for the fake up kick and left his jaw exposed.

But I wouldn't be surprised if they had a rematch.

Then again if kimbo won they would say he just beat a light heavyweight that got lucky.

He isnt ready for the likes of Randy OR even Lesnar for that matter
Nah Seth isn't a tae kwon do guy, his a karate fighter. He did a basic keep off mid kick to kimbos thigh and threw a jab right at kimbo's chin then down went kimbo. Seth just kept threwing punches to kimbos face til the ref stopped it. The fight showed how kimbo is still just a street fighter, a basic karate move stopped him dead in his track. Plus Seth is a lightweight, this is really a bad lost to kimbo. I do not think it hurt him mentally though. Kimbo will just get more motivated but hopefully not angry cause anger would not do him any good.

yea thats pretty true, he got caught end of. It happens but it does not always mean the fighter that got ko'ed could never beat the guy that ko'ed him. However the lost is not like Lesnars lost to Mir, that lost clearly showed Lesnars inexperience. Kimbo's lost showed his come forward attack that got him so popular needs to be improve. It isn't his lack of experience that got him ko'ed, it was what made him so popular that got him iced. Its interested what kimbo will do now, will he just continue to come forward and attack or will he really learn MMA. Just like how Brock Lesnar is really learning MMA.

I am leaning towards Brock, one who will have a longer and better MMA career. One of the Legends of MMA once said "you must evolve with the sport to last in it". I see Brock evolving more with the sport then KIMBO.
